Good morning S16! What's going on today? Any fun plans this weekend?
My oldest has a playdate this afternoon. I need to speed clean this house so they're not disgusted lol. Tomorrow is trick or treat in our neighborhood. DS1 is going as a pirate for the second year in a row. He loves all things pirate. I have a cute "my first halloween" outfit for the baby. After we get the kids down H is covering me so I can stop by my friend's halloween party.
We're about to go to IHOP with my mom's group, I guess they have Halloween pancakes the kids can decorate. C is at school so I'm just taking the baby to hangout and get some adult time.
In laws left this morning and will be back Tuesday. Trick or treating here is Monday, and I'm excited it's supposed to be 76!
I have a play date to go to but debating whether I actually want to leave the house or not. It's raining here and it's CA and we never get rain so I'm loving the cozy feeling! And my MIL is coming from Florida to stay with us for a week and the house probably needs to be cleaned :/

Currently nursing R in the back seat of my SUV since he decided he was too hungry to wait until we got home from my PP appt. Yay for tinted windows in the back seat. Not ready for my boob to be on display to a whole parking lot.

I did that all the time with C... kid ate every 45 minutes for the first 6 months of her life. Now with E there's no room in the back because of the 2 car seats. So now I nurse in the front seat... no tint... someone's bound to get an eyeful!!
Just finished my toddler busy book page for my J15 group. Later I'm going to vinyl a daycare bag. After A is done nursing I'm going to chipotle because I have a BOGO. Trunk or treat at DSs daycare this afternoon. He's going to be R2D2
Toddler was sent home with the poops. He is missing the trick or treat at daycare :-(. Apparently half the infants and more than half of the toddlers along with 5 teachers are all out with it. FX it doesn't spread in the house. My parents are supposed to visit this weekend, now we need to keep them updated on whether they should come or not.
annapunkalunka, if someone is looking in your car, they deserve the eyeful of boobage. If they don't like it, they shouldn't look.
My mom watched S while I went to the dentist and then I took her to the chiropractor. I was a little nervous but S handled it well and is now napping. It's cold and wet here so I'm snuggled up watching old seasons of Grey's Anatomy.
Me: 28, all tests normal DH: 34, very low count, motility, morphology DX - MFI 11/14/09 - Married 01/01/14 - TTC #1 01/06/15 - Started working with RE 04/06/15 - Recommendation - straight to IVF w/ICSI 09/04/15 - Started working with new RE Nov/Dec 15 - IVF w/ ICSI #1 - 11R/8F - 1 transferred, 3 frozen
fem I feel like the best play dates are ones where I don't have to chase my toddler around and can socialize instead!
Yes it was great! One friend has 4 girls under 6 though, so I did try to help her out.
O was passed out in the K'tan until the food came, but I was able to nurse her and eat at the same time with my boob mostly covered. I'm much more comfortable NIP this time.

No fun! Hopefully it's short lived and nobody else gets it. I'm dreading the winter illnesses since C can't stay out of O's face.

First blowout. Thankfully it was mostly contained by his pants and didn't completely destroy the car seat. Yay for the Chicco infant insert being machine washable!
ILs are coming today for the weekend so I have to get the house ready. H is taking a nap and was complaining that R wasn't falling asleep. Welcome to my afternoons...

I have both my older kids home again today & they've been at an 11 all day, so I'm trying not to lose my mind, haha. We made sugar cookie dough this morning and will roll/cut out with Halloween cookie cutters/bake/decorate them after naps. I love doing stuff like that with them but I'm also pre-regretting the mess/cleanup.
FFFC, brought to you by the Hallmark channel: I've been watching reruns of "Home Improvement" every afternoon and I'm finding myself strangely attracted to mid-1990s era Tim Allen. WHY?! Also, I've set my DVR to record all the upcoming craptastic made-for-tv Christmas movies they will be showing. I'm the worst.

Went to brunch this morning with a coworker and E slept through it. Yay for eggs Benedict and adult conversation! It feels like she has been sleeping a ton today since she took a long car seat nap and now a long nap in the crib. She's nursing in between but not every 2 hours like normal so this could be an interesting night.. I'll have to fill her up this evening!
unringthebell my DS is two and we make cookies. It's a little messy but worth it! I just usually sit him on the counter next to me and let him try and stir.

Yes I just started cooking with my toddler...and she is obsessed. It definitely is messy and takes longer but she has so much fun. We have made play dough a few times together also which she really enjoys.SaveSave
DS and DD kept us up all night. Poor H. I tapped him out at 3am so I could look after the baby for him. Got her asleep by 4 but at that point the toddler had been awake for 45 min. Got him back to sleep by 5. And both were up at 7. *YAWN*
Had a playdate this am with a neighbour down the road. DS refused a nap (which he normally does at home), but he grabbed his blanket and is currently passed out on the living floor. DD is passed out in her swing. She's acting weird today. Super fussy and clingy. Coughing and just seems unhappy. I'm guessing we're going to be dealing with another reflux baby.
My friend donated another 150oz of breastmilk, so we're at 250. We stretch it by doing 2/3 bm and 1/3 formula in our bottles, but my friend's supply is unreal. It's such an amazing gift.

unringthebell, I think I started with DD around 2-2.5? It's definitely messy, takes longer, and can be frustrating, but it's also so much fun and kids love it. Our Christmas cookie baking day on Xmas Eve is pretty much my favorite thing ever. I say go for it when you have some extra time to dedicate to it!
Have fun at all the Halloween/ToT'ing activities! We live in the city, so we go to my parents' house for ToT'ing (they're in the burbs).
It's cold & rainy here today, & I feel like I've hit a mental/emotional wall. LO has been doing well overnight (generally 2 wake-ups a night, sometimes 3) but has been refusing to nap except when in motion and/or attached to me, which makes it difficult to shower, pump, etc. except when DH is home. I've been trying baby whisperer/shush pat for naps, & it worked one time but has resulted in lots of tears (his & mine) over the last couple days. He's only 4 weeks tomorrow, so I'm torn as to whether to keep going with shush/pat or just do whatever works (stroller, carrier, car seat) for another few weeks/months. I'm leaning towards the latter so he'll at least nap, but then I worry that I'm being inconsistent. I'm overthinking this, I know. Advice/anecdotes/hair pats welcome. Sorry for the novel - I just needed to get it out there. DH tries to be helpful & sympathetic, but he just doesn't understand how it feels to never get a true break & miss out on things with DD because I have to tend to LO.
Just read some of the other comments - I started cooking/baking with DD around 2-2.5. She loves it. She stands on a chair at the counter & can help measure, pour ingredients, stir, etc. it's messy but a great indoor activity.
We're in size 1 diapers, but we've been having a lot of pee leaks. I don't think it's a size issue (they seem plenty big & LO is only 4 weeks old, not sure on weight but probably 9-9.5 lbs.). I may need to try another brand (once we run through the huge case of Pampers we have).
