H left for an 11 day work trip 40 minutes ago and DS has been crying inconsolably since he left. He also spiked a fever this afternoon. I am sure everything will go totally smoothly for the next 11 days, right guys?!? Guys?

So my Indians World Series game is on tonight at 8pm, the same time as H's Florida state football game. He offered me the tv in the family room but I told him I'd take the tv upstairs in our bedroom. I did this to avoid time with MIL. I'm way too excited about getting to spend most of the night all by myself. If only I could drink wine.

<crickets crickets crickets > Good luck! You can do everything on your own schedule. I hope DS feels better soon and the next couple of weeks fly by.
@priss08 I get it. My mom was all you were potty trained at 22 months. Just make a game. That's was I did. I was like yeah not working. If your guy isn't ready it's ok! Try again later! Clara is almost 2 and half and isn't potty trained. I do blame daycare but that's besides the point.

I think our LO's are the same age! But Yeah. Two of my brothers were 3 or so, I was an early trainer. I'm actually going against pediatrician advice by doing it "her way". Our Dr. said don't stress it and that kids train when they're ready.
I just feel like I'm doing something, bad by not pushing him. It's really against my nature and we went back to diapers today. Not forcing it.
I am too, which is weird cause this kid measured smaller than DS at the same age. I'm just worn out now I guess.
Thanks! Misery loves company 😀
Right?! I know zero pregnant women IRL, you guys are all I have to bitch with! Lol
Actually, none of my friends have had a baby so...I could talk to my SIL I guess? But she had two over 10.5 pounders and won't give me any commiserations.
moutonrouge Lol/ the maternity clothes are kind of cheap, but so is my whole maternity "collection." I really only got work tops, and they'll all look good under a blazer. My vote would be yes for the maternity stuff. I opted to not get accessories- all clothes since I wear the same jewelry everyday pretty much.
Why are people obsessed with giving kids bad food? My mom talked about ice cream and cake basically since dd was born. I had to tell her that we have many years of giving her treats. There is no rush. And honestly what do you get out of it?

My mom is the worst at this with my daughter. I too have no idea what she gets out of it!
callmeKDamandamh2 We definitely shut that shit down as soon as we found out. We didn't even see her do it. She laughed at his sour face and told us. My H gave her a firm "wtf is wrong with you?! NO." thankfully he and I are on the same page with stuff. Honestly, I dont know why im not pissed. Im annoyed at her serious lack of judgement but I guess my brain is forcing me to save my energy and let this go.

Oooh if I knew you could do all clothes I might do it. The stuff they show in the ads is cute. I'll need more work tops soon.
callmeKD my hands have been on and off since I stopped drinking crystal light and must drink less when water is my only option. It's painful and itchy! I hope it's not here to stay for you.

obi I don't understand people's obsession with giving kids sugar. My MIL is constantly wanting to give Elena (15 months!!!) ice cream or order a brownie and share it ... no.
I'm not opposed to treats, but she's awfully young! Just let her eat blueberries!

Exactly! There will come a time when all they want is junk and getting a solitary blueberry into their stomachs will be like WW3. Lets stuff them with good stuff while we can.

Good morning! I was MIA yesterday since we were out of town and the town hated my cell phone. We saw paw patrol live and spent a couple of hours with my aunt and uncle.
Today we have church and a birthday party. Might start shopping for baby girl after that.

We are having a big breakfast and watching the Bengals (they're playing the early game in London). Hopefully today we finish up some chores in the yard, and I need to sort out my clothes mess. Then we've got a late dinner with one of DHs friends who is in town.
I'm waiting around for the guys to come and work on my nursery hopefully today. They called DH yesterday but he didn't have his phone with him. So he gave them my number and FX they can still get some stuff done today.
