crimsonandclover the light and noise sensitivity sounds like a migraine to me.
I always have this warning mine are coming. It's more of a pressure feeling than pain that starts an hour or so before.
I find ice helps. Mine are entirely on the left side of my head centered over that eye so I basically ice that eye. A cool bath sometimes helps. For the most part, just time. I usually take benadryl to try and help me sleep, but they tend to last 2 or more days.
kcrkcs, that's awesome that the appt went well and you didn't have to pay. crimsonandclover, i meant lol at YH not the migraines...just clarifying
I am going crazy over here. The Cubs might actually win the series. Holy cow. Chicago will be a mad town tomorrow. Have a feeling lots of people will be calling in "sick". I just texted MH that I didn't have any champagne and he said to mix pop rocks into wine. Uhhh, is that a thing? Anywhooo. I'll probably just have tea. My head hurts, too

icequeen, #FlytheW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe they won!! Almost my entire family has been Cubs fans forever and always. I have an uncle who grew up across the street from Wrigley - he actually had tickets to Game 5 (he has season tickets anyway), and when my aunt pointed out they could sell one of them for $6000 and pay off some of my cousins' student loans, my uncle was like - are you CRAZY?!?!?!
Also, I figured you were loling at my DH
NellieOleson, cutest sad face ever!! Get that girl some Cheerios!
Last night during my extreme noise sensitivity phase during dinner DD3 was screeching like a pteradactyl (sp?). I slapped my hand down on the table to get her attention and said, "No! We do not scream at the dinner table!" Her eyes got all big, then she grinned and whispered, "baba" (all she says right now). Despite the pain and the risk of losing my discipline credibility, it totally cracked me up.

Awesome game!!!! So excited for all of our Chicago girls icequeen, chimomma19, mrsoscarfelix and any othe Cubs fans. It will be a fun day at work. My coworker and bosses are all in Chicago and I know they will be in cloud 9!
Omg you guys!!! Can't believe it, the curse is over. Goat stands for "greatest of all time" now, haha! Stolen from GMA. I'm a mombie this morning but I'll manage. I thought about just staying home but maybe we'll get out later. Go cubs!! We did it!!
I know, not something I'm planning on trying anytime soon. Dh have some to dd and now she wants more but she only eats the candy stick instead of the disgusting powder. Smh. Anyway, we're off to the library soon, lunch and then dropping dd at preschool.
So it's 10am and I'm still in bed with dd. She moved to a new room in daycare and only napped an hour yesterday.... I hope that's the reason she's still snoozing and it's not that she's sick. She keeps nursing and falling back asleep. Yay for the cubs!
FX she is not sick, but otherwise this sounds delightful. Soak it in!
So glad my BFF is coming over today. She always brings coffee and drives us to school. H's friend came over last night and our game didn't end until 12:15. And H is not able to go straight to bed after playing for hours, so we stayed up till a little after 1. I'm a tired Mom today. And I still have to load and run the dishwasher before BFF gets here.
Pfft. Went to grab some clothes for M, realized she had no sweaters clean. So started a load of laundry, started the dishwasher, and put M down for a quick nap. She's not thrilled, but Thursday is our crazy day, so I'm trying to get her to snooze before we have to take S to school

Still so excited for the Cubs! I actually cried watching a couple of the videos today. But here's the pain of being married to a foreigner living in a foreign country. When DH came home from work for lunch today we had this conversation:
Me: After you left for work, I looked online and saw that the Cubs won!!!!!!! So exciting!!! DH: Yeah, I saw all your relatives commenting on FB. What did they win? Me: ::sigh:: The World Series! DH: Who plays in it? Me: Well... the winners of the two leagues. DH: So it's an American championship. Me: ... There are a couple of Canadian teams in the leagues, too. Him: So it's a North American championship. Me: ... ... ... Him: This is baseball, right? Me:
How has he been married to an American Cubs fan for 10 years and yet doesn't know this? I'm not going to tell my die-hard Cubs fan uncle DH asked that last question.

seriously it was amazing ! I am super tired today but soo worth staying up to watch that! chimomma19, was the city cray last night?
FFTC I don't care about the cubs.... you may throw your stones at will.
+1 but to be fair, I don't care about baseball at all. Or most other sports either. I like to watch figure skating, but I don't care about the competitions.

There's only one Canadian team. My dad used to skip school to go to games

Lollipop, is it only the Bluejays? For some reason I was thinking there was another... I just googled it and Montreal had a team until 2004 (the Expos). That must have been what I had in mind. But in 2004 they moved to Washington, DC.
So I sliced my thumb open cleaning up the bowl dd2 dropped while trying to get something I told her she couldn't have. Seems I should not be the one with the consequence. It doesn't look stitch worthy, but son of a b it is bleeding like mother f-er. And it hurts!!! This is my reason for not cleaning bathrooms today I think.
