Tomorrow is my first day with M not at daycare or at my dad's. I'm worried about how much I'll be able to get done. I applied for a billion jobs today and stayed up late doing housework. On a good note this morning I was worried M was getting sick but tonight it seems just like a little extra runny nose. Fx he still seems good in the morning, I'd like to get out of the house with him.
amberlie Congrats on baby Hazel! Such a beautiful name. I hope you are recovering well and enjoying those newborn snuggles. Did you ever end up going to your sister's wedding?
@janetheconquerer I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. Such a sad situation. I hope the sinus infection improves and that you are able to find an antibiotic that you can tolerate.
noname, Building a house sounds so stressful. I feel like I always hear about it taking longer than you anticipated. I'm sorry you've been so delayed and that the costs are adding up. Is there anything in the contract you signed with the builder saying that you can't subcontract out some of the work yourself? It is your house after all and your money.
@mrspanpan, I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. I must have missed this, what kind of cancer does she have? Sending T&P your way.
shellyr Yikes! That's a lot of transition all at once, especially having to do it on your own. Sending good thoughts your way that you're not developing mastitis. Do you get relief once you're home and LO nurses? If you still suspect mastitis get antibiotics ASAP. That's not something to mess around with!
aydee , did you ever get to grocery shop? Have you treated yourself yet for surviving solo parenting?
I got the grocery shopping done yesterday morning while the twins were at preschool so I only had Abigail in tow. Haven't exactly treated myself yet, although we did get chocolate cake balls for dessert Sunday night after H got home. They were yummy!
Trick or treating last night was so much fun! Abigail quickly got the hang of it and was then all about putting candy in her pumpkin bucket at each house. She is determined to keep up with big brother and sister. It was adorable. She was dressed as a strawberry but her costume was fleece and it was like 70 degrees out! I ended up leaving the hat off so she wouldn't be roasting. I wish I knew how to post a pic. The biggest hurdle is finding a site to upload it to.
I never would have given the twins candy this young but then again I also didn't collect candy for them when we trick or treated when they were one. Even last year when the twins were 2, they didn't know what was inside the candy wrappers so they just dumped their pumpkins and played with the candy when they got home. We never opened the wrappers. Well, that wasn't going to work with Abigail. She was trying to eat the candy with the wrappers still on, haha. Like, well before we made it home. I caved and gave her a kit kat when we got back. She was pleased.
So sleepy this morning. I stayed up late making goodies for the bake sale at DS's school, and the kitchen is still a mess this morning from it, yuck. But on the plus side, DH gets home tonight and tomorrow morning we leave for a trip up north! I'm excited for a little family getaway!
Woke up to my 3yo vomiting this morning, after dealing with a lot of congestion the past 2 days. We're planning on spending our day watching Tinkerbell movies and being lazy. Ugh. Doing lots of laundry this morning to get her bedding cleaned up. Hoping it doesn't spread.
DH is officially a first shifter now and is in his new position at work! Only 7 months late :/ So, we're adjusting to that now.
I've been working on the quilt I'm making for DD and finished sewing together the top, now I need to measure it and get the fabric for the backing and get that done.
I was up with a fever of 101.8 overnight with intense joint/body aches. It was weird and miserable. I had the flu shot a day before and I feel like that might be the culprit because now it's mostly resolved. My boob is still sore but not hot and red. I think my body is really worn down from all the things we have going on and H isn't back until Sat at the earliest.
Apparently tapatalk updated overnight and now I am seeing duplicates of all posts. They need to get it together.
So sleepy this morning- both H and I just now woke up. My non-work goal today is to get him to agree to a Saturday we can take family photos. We've never had any professional family pics done and I found someone to take them, just need to lock in a date. I think he's waiting to see times of the upcoming football games before committing.

Happy Wednesday, everyone!
Worked late last night. Looking forward to getting out on time tonight and going to the gym. Gotta catch up to ampaints– you're killing it on Fitbit!
Not much else going on here. Poppy has resumed 5:30AM wake-ups so I am just sleepy.

Man, yesterday I had a rough day. The job hunt and ensuing hopeless feeling got me down big time. Then last night my friend showed up with a bottle of wine, and soup (even cooked bacon to top it!). Ah. I drank the entire bottle of wine and got really drunk last night with DH. He had an exam today so he didn't drink hahaha.
Yes it does! I think it hit me yesterday because now that it's November I don't have much time left at this job. I get into negative thinking and it's a bit depressing thinking of going into Christmas with no prospects.
How is your job hunt going? I haven't been on too much.
tuscanlatte not very well. I've put in close to 100 applications and only had one interview so far, and I didn't get that job. I'm applying for part time things as well just to get some kind of income. I'm honestly trying really hard to not get depressed about it.
