HI! I haven't been around at all this week AGAIN because work has been so busy. I need to get better about popping in during the evenings so I can say hi to you all!
Here's what I would have shared with you this week if I came in here:
The baby shower I'm planning for my BFF this weekend is finally coming together! But I can't believe how many people don't RSVP AND are rude when you call to ask if they can come. Over half the guest list didn't RSVP and only 2 people apologized when I called. Several berated me for even calling- it was nuts!
I went to the doc yesterday, baby looks good but they dropped the bomb on me that even though I passed my 3 hr glucose tolerance test at 12 weeks, I have to go straight to the 3 hr again at 28 weeks, no taking the 1 hr this time. I'm so disappointed.
DD was Rapunzel for Halloween (complete with knee-length wig) and went trick-or-treating for about an hour and a half which I did not expect!
Just when work was settling and they were giving me less hours as requested, we had one worker quit without notice (rude!) and one worker call in sick for the rest of her shifts this week (also BFFs with the lady who quit so I think that's the real reason) we are down to three workers manning a 5 person minimum roster until our other worker comes back from leave (death in the family). It's been crazy hectic and I'm back pulling doubles and splits until they hire replacements.

I feel like I could fall asleep, but Bugs should be up from her nap soon. I know the moment I doze off she will be up, so I might as well suck it up and count down until bedtime.

hpnegirl, are you still babywearing a lot? I'm finding longer (2 mile-ish) walks to be not the comfiest, but my kid has been having some canine-induced misery and not feeling the stroller so she's not giving me a lot of choice.

Yes, whenever we are out, he's in the carrier. He never took to the stroller and doesnt let DH wear him if we're out together. I still front carry some but it's more often a back carry now

Wha? Who does that?
I am giving them all the most stab-worthy side eyes for you.

I have an ergo and find a back carry better in some ways, but the unpadded section of the hip belt on the bump isn't my fave. Glad my kid is still just 19 pounds, don't know what I'd do if I had a big toddler!

Put it either under or over the bump. My DH uses an ergo. The ergo gave me too many back aches, hence the Tulas when I could no longer do ring sling hip carries
Hello everyone. I'm really trying to not be a creepy lurker anymore, but we are currently dealing with a family emergency. I'll read and LT when I can, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to post. Sorry. Thanks.
Hey ladies I've been MIA. We've had a busy week somehow. This weekend should be mellow, trying to get a hike in because the weather has been beautiful. That's really all I've got!! Hope everyone is feeling healthy now that we're all hitting our second trimester stride.

I've been kinda MIA. The toddler picked up some kind of stomach bug from daycare. So I've spent the day washing everything she threw up on last night and cuddling her.
I have my MRI for my headaches on Monday and I'm kinda pooping myself about it all. I know it's safe for pregnancy but if they find what they think they're looking for, they want me on more medications. Which I'm not excited about it.

Agreed. I can't TCF anymore at work for awhile because I have to set a good example lol
