joy is it possible to travel closer to bedtime. I know it sucks for driver but may make things easier. Or maybe plan to take a break half way there for an hour or so. And I've done bottle feeding in car seat, but not this young. Only when DD was at an age where she didn't need the frequent burps.
@annhbuhdan It's so hard when the baby wakes up so much...I love snuggles and being wanted, but not that much! Hugs of solidarity about cranky husbands. Sigh. Someday things will be easier...or at least different.
The flight home was less fun. We took off around what her bedtime would be if it wasn't for the time change and DST. She kept fussing and not being able to stand up was frustrating. It didn't help that I am very much a morning person so my patience in the evening is limited.
And my attempt to feed her with a cover was not very successful. I couldn't figure out how to hold her in the right position, repeatedly latch her, make sure my shirt didn't get in the way, and hold the cover so that I could see what I was doing but make sure I was still covered all at the same time. I think I will go back to the two shirt method and sit in the window seat next time. I thought being in the aisle would be helpful because I could stand up to calm her down if I needed, but they never turned off the fasten seatbelt sign so I couldn't ever get up.
Hopefully DH now knows not to schedule flights at bedtime anymore.
i always pump before bed, and every single time DH starts to doze off. I think the sound of the pump is like sleepy time white noise for him hahahaha.
My h falls asleep every night when I pump. Didn't matter where he is at the computer watching tv, reading. He says the pump is his magic sleep machine.
