Thanks all. I really need to stop reading all of the articles that get sent via email. Honestly, that's where this came from- not discussions in this group. It's just hard to turn off the worry when the what to expect article headline is something along the lines of "your 11 month old- you should have heard their first word by now!" Obviously, that's a little exaggerated, but it's stuff like that. Thanks for all the advice and the reality check. :)
13liza, I agree with everything everyone else said. It's hard not to compare and I definitely compare my kid's milestones too. DD2 has been behind DD1 in every milestone so far. DD1 was walking by now but since DD2 is my second, I'm not in any hurry for her to walk
I have been a little MIA since I used to visit the website when I was nursing DD2 to sleep but now that we switched to formula, she doesn't fall asleep right away. DD1 has hit 2.5 and it has been difficult. H is driving up to Boston for a job interview and both kids are finally asleep. The silence is so nice.
