M has been taking all my time. These days she's too interested in my phone when we're together so I try and keep it put away. She's also in a Velcro baby stage so we're together a lot. And during her afternoon nap I'm usually trying to get everything done that I haven't been able to do earlier in the day. It's great and fun but it's been busy. She's more mobile and is a lot happier when you're focusing on and interacting with her. So most days, the morning when I start a thread is the time I have to post. But not to sound like a creepy stalker, I do miss you all.
Whine- Figuring out our holiday travel plan. There's so many options and people involved so figuring out what's best for everyone and what they really want. I do it but it's still a pet peeve when people say one thing because they want to be polite/seem flexible but it's not what they really want.
Wine- M may be taking all my time but I feel so fortunate that I get to be with her all day.
Anyone on the pumpkin and squash train? I love it all! Made stuffed acorn squash earlier this week and last week too. Delicious. I bought a package of pumpkin biscotti from Trader Joe's and I like dipping one in my coffee in the morning. I look forward to it. Even if I eat it in 2 seconds while holding M on one hip. Luckily they're small. Planning to make M some mini whole wheat pumpkin muffins that are sweetened with apple sauce today.
Baking. I love to cook but always feel unmotivated by the thought of baking. I'm good once I start but the starting....
Did you know? According to my mother-in-law 'guys' is gender neutral? I use it but then feel guilty that I haven't said something like 'pals' instead.
I always hold M on my right hip with my right arm. I then wonder if I'm going to have uneven arm muscles. Haha!

Yes I agree this board has been super sleepy and I miss the regular threads/people (not like I've been here for forever but still lol).
Whine: I've been nursing a horrible headache all day! I'm really trying not to take medicine but finally caved a took a tylenol earlier which helped for a while but as soon as it wore off the headache was back with a vengeance. School was super draining this week and I'm getting really freaking annoyed by everyone asking what happened to my face!!! It's been 3 weeks and most of the people who ask, it's none of their business!!! Grrrrr ok guess I had a lot to whine about!
Wine: I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow! Getting so close to being past the anxious trimester!!!! We got to hear the heartbeat yesterday which was amazing. My symptoms are mostly gone which feels great but was producing some anxiety and my mw practice was amazing with my spur of the moment doppler check! (I was there for blood work and asked if they could squeeze me in for a quick check.) We're telling my in-laws on Saturday so I'm excited about that! Then going to a Christmas fair which will be fun!
I guess I stuck my randoms in with my whine/wine lol. My bmb keeps me super busy on here and there are super nice ladies but I'm the only non hetero so sometimes it's lonely.
cetcar might you be visiting family here in the East over Thanksgiving? I'll be right there!
dannigirl I hear you on feeling blah a lot. That's the one emotion I check off on most days in the ovia app lol.

Ditto on the "guys" thing... my substitute is usually "folks" because it fits my 60-year-old vibe.
My best friend's husband told her he wants to separate, they've been married 14 years (high school sweethearts) and have a 9 year old daughter. I feel so bad for all of them and also helpless. My friend can really isolate and disappear when things aren't going well so I'm trying to check in a ton.
I think I whined enough on the TTT thread. My wine is that I'm currently drinking a glass of wine and next Friday I made plans so I'm actively working on "me time".
Is is coming up to 6 months old in a few weeks so we're prepping for food and crib transitions. Tips are welcome. I remember cetcar and kona talking about sippy cups a while back... what did you settle on? Apparently that's a 6 month thing, it's hard to imagine her that coordinated but she's learning new things each day.
bexincanada, my brother in law and his wife separated about 2 months ago now. She came home from a wedding in Mexico and told him she wasn't happen and wanted a divorce. They have a 4 and 6 year old. It was messy before she moved into her own place, lots of mean things were said, lots of feelings hurt. It's not easy. It's been a rollercoaster for Jo because she wants to protect her brother and the kids, but there is nothing she can really do, but be there for him. I hope you are able to get through to her and make sure she's okay.
