We survived a 14 hour drive through the night!! I'm so happy!!! LO slept like an angel except for 3 feedings during the trip. I was fully expecting to have to find a hotel somewhere along the way. Hopefully the drive home next week will be just as smooth
So when we go visit family in Florida in August, we should drive through the night instead of the day? Do you think that made it easier? Already super worried about the 12 hour drive with a baby...
We've always driven during the night when we go home so we figured we'd try it (we're trying to do things the same way we did before if possible). We napped for an hour in the car and my DH slept while I fed her. We are driving back during the day so we'll see if it messes up her night routine. I had an enjoyable drive this time and would recommend it
I have a question about feeding. So in two weeks DH and I will be going away for half the day to celebrate our anniversary, so I'm starting to pump to get a little supply for our babysitter (and Wyatt took his first BM bottle really well! Yay!). But I pumped first shortly after a feeding and got 3.5 oz, and then pumped later when I would have normally been feeding him while DH gave a bottle, and I got 4 oz. does this sound about right to everyone else? How much does a baby this age usually eat during a feeding?
It's great that you're able to pump that much after a feeding.
I do a combination of BF, pumped milk, and formula with DS2. Yesterday he got a total of about 26 oz (estimated since I don't know how much he got from the breast feeding). In the feedings that were exclusively bottle, it was about 3 - 4 oz per feeding, and he ate about every 3 hours.
We made the required stop by the liquor store (trust me, it's 100% necessary), and now we're on the way to the ILs. It should be a 2 hour drive but will probably be 3 due to traffic. On the positive side, I have my car attachment for my pump, so I can pump on the way up and feel somewhat productive.

When I give pumped bm it's ar 4.5 oz bottle. I make sure to stop and burp half way through. Or if I feel like he's gulping I stop him. And he is hungery gain in 3-4 hours switch is normal for him.
My mil volunteered to watch M while we go out tomorrow night. We are not huge into celebrating but it will be nice to get out! In a little nervous to leave him tho!

I have a feeling tonight will be miserable. I live in a small town of 200 so actual "town" is considered any town that has a walmart there's one in each direction of 20-30 miles away. We've been in the truck all day job hunting them and now on our way to Minneapolis. Yaaayy. Not
