Sorry I've been majorly Mia. The kids hate me right now and tantrums plus double ear infections for my entire trio have kicked our butts. I'm exhausted. But I'm here.
Me:24 DH:27 Married: 12/15/12 BFP May 2014 from IUI #2 after 8 months TTC B/G/G triplets born on 10/22/2015 at 25w5d After a total of 140 days in the NICU all three of my miracles came home!
snd1231, oh no sounds like a major headache for everyone. I hope you guys get better. Tantrums are no fun. My threenager is VERY testy lately. Makes me super on edge all the time. NellieOleson, we have it downstairs in our living room with nothing around it. DS hasn't been too interested in it actually. We have ornaments but they are mostly made out of material so iif he does end up grabbing it and stuffing it in his mouth it won't be a big deal. The nicer ornaments are strategically placed. crimsonandclover, it's getting a little better. At least he smiles at some strangers now instead of bursting into tears the moment they say something to him. Poor little guy.
We went to a different library today and played with some puzzles. I really want DD to work on her fine motor skills. She's been doing well but it's so stressful because she gets so frustrated and throws tantrums. DS is doing so well with walking and stronger every day. DH is packing for South America and will be gone until next Tuesday. Tomorrow we have a play date at the zoo and it's free so I'm excited.

I am so peeved right now. I just found out I need to complete a pretty significant training for my very Pt job. It's 18-22 hours depending on a few things. Some of the offerings are 13 hours long. Wtf? Another option is dec20-23 4-9pm on the other side of town. I'd easily be gone 3-10pm. First of all, I cannot be away from my nursing baby that long w/o pumping and I can only imagine how bedtime would go given she won't take a bottle. I'm not ready to be done wth that yet. The other choices are all weekend other times and I'm really not in the mood to give up that much time at this time of year. We have way too much going on and my dh has a real job and I don't have child care. Sorry this is an irritated vent. I will not be leaving my nursing baby for 13 hours or over bedtime for a week. Sorry folks. I'm not sure what the consequences will be, but such is life.
dizzycooks that is so tough. I can't imagine having a regular job where I would have to navigate that kind of situation. That seems like a lot of training hours for a pt job......

Glad to see you here but so sorry about all those ear infections. I hope you get some rest!!

There are pre read that will probably total 20 hrs as well. I work those in during nap time. I'm trying to remind myself that this is not to be a stressful thing and it isn't suppose to interfere with most of the other stuff I want to do, but it's so hard!

I'm worried about our tree as well. We had major issues last year and now with a baby that is pulling up on every thing in site I am freaked out. I don't have a lot of options for location either.
Guise, I think I might just lose it. I'm barely holding on by a thin thread. Work is shit. Talks about more layoffs next year and my team is bare bones as it is. I'm SO freaking tired. DD is unsleeptrainable (not a word I know) at this point and it's getting out of control. I broke down and ordered a DockATot because everyone says it's the holy grail. It better be. And I am basically holding down the fort at home plus my job. H is overwhelmed with a school so not much he can do to help. One more month till he is off from school. Oh yeah and my dr said I basically have a mild bladder prolapse which is causing my soreness but not much can be done about it till I'm done BF'ing. Fucking wonderful. 😪😪😪

Some of you already have Christmas trees up???!
Like, whoa.
I can't even believe it's almost thanksgiving. We had unusually warm weather here last week, so it doesn't feel holiday-ish yet to me. Although dd1 requested Christmas music today, and wanted to wear a Christmas dress this afternoon, so I think the festive spirit will be descending upon the Oleson household soon.
dizzycooks - that all sounds ridic. Definitely not worth it.
snd1231 - Hi!!! Hope those kiddos feel better soon.
pinktartan9 - we put fragile or special ornaments towards the top of the tree, and soft ones at the bottom. My dd2 sounds a lot like kcrkcs 's, though - an unstoppable hurricane of curiosity and baby mischief.

snd1231 I'm sorry you've had ear infections!! We dealt with that and it was awful for dd1. Keep your eye in it and if they suggest tubes take it! It was a game changer for us.

scorpioscuba, I'm so sorry things are so rough. When you mentioned the soreness I was wondering if it might be uterine prolapse. One of my good friends had a uterine prolapse. Do you have pain all the time or just occasionally? She was able to do some things to help while she was still BFing, but I don't know how much bladder and uterine prolapse differ. I would think physical therapy would help *if* you could find the time to do it (I know, next to impossible), and that would be something you could do while BFing. I'm actually trying to figure out what your Dr thinks you need that you can't do while BFing. What sort of medication would help a prolapse??
dizzycooks, yeah, no. Definitely not worth it. I would tell them it's not possible to be away from your BFing baby that long and you are politely declining the training offer until you are able to take the course. Would you at least get paid for your time doing it or are you expected to train for basically the equivalent of 10 working weeks for you for free?

Our nanny is sick *again*
Luckily "all" I'm working on right now is my continuing ed course, but I do have a list about 2 miles long of things I'd like to get done, and it's hard to do it when she's not here. Things like phone calls to insurance agencies and such, where I know the call is goin to take a while and I'm going to need to concentrate and listen, and that's hard to do with DD3 on my hip.
crimsonandclover yeah they pay me. It's a crazy small hourly rate though and if I needed to hire a sitter it would cost me more to pay the sitter by the time they tax me and I drive there.
snd1231 - hi gorgeous! Hope you and your babies all feel better soon! pinktartan9 - I squee'd when I saw your NTNP post! GL!! scorpioscuba - I have had a crazy week - DH has freaking pneumonia and I have had to do everything with both kiddos on my own. I am NOT cut out to be a single Mom - FX YH is extra helpful once he's on school break!
scorpioscuba big hugs @nellieokeson I am a firm believer in no Christmas until December. snd1231 hope your kiddos feel better soon. Think of you all often.
DD woke up at 430. Would not go back to sleep. We went to the zoo and I grossly underestimated how cold it was outside. Had to buy her a sweatshirt and hat in the gift shop. I caved and bought her a fancy rainbow lollipop because I didn't want to have a meltdown in the store and said we could have it after lunch. We walked outside past the giant carousel which was closed. Cue meltdown which was extinguished for the time being with fancy lollipop. Got to the play zoo and DD wanted nothing to do with it except for chasing the poor peacocks outside. Refused to come inside so I had to chase her holding DS in my arms. Past a security guard "BUT YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET IN THIS AREA" Well no shit dude but I have to catch my child before she injures herself or one of your prized peacocks. GDI. I finally convinced her to get back in the car, yet I had to carry her, my bag, and push DS in his stroller. Got in the car and she refused to eat anything. Both kids fell asleep in a matter of minutes. I called the school and said no way jose DD is not coming in and please r/s my parent teacher conference. We came home and both woke up immediately. DD still not eating. My mom came over and DD is either throwing tantrums or rolling around on the couch. I went to the pharmacy to pick up a refill for DS yeast infection but they couldn't give it to me bc insurance wont cover it until Friday. FUCKING AWESOME. I came home and DD fell asleep on the couch. I took her straight to bed. She's dirty, in her clothes in bed, and now has a fever and earache. It's been a fucking hell of a day.
