I'm in line to vote. I was worried when I got here because the line was out the door and I didn't leave myself much time before work. But it's moving pretty quick. I really want my sticker
I got to the polls at 6:10 (I wanted to make sure I didn't have to wait outside). I slept horribly because I kept having bad dreams last night that I voted for Trump!

I took off this morning, H is supposed to be working from home later so I can go into work. I'm going to vote a little later in hopes that the lines won't be terrible because everyone is already at work.
It was super quick for me. 2 people ahead of me, so I was in and out in a few minutes
I think there must have been a line before the doors opened, because when I got inside there were people sitting at regular open tables filling out their ballots if they didn't want to wait for a booth. I'm happy they let us do that, or I would have been waiting a lot longer.
I voted! I had to vote provisional bc I didn't do the address change by the deadline. The workers at the polling place had no idea what the heck to do. They had to call the board of elections and have them walk through the process over the phone. I'm just annoyed that we missed the deadline to change address and I'm worried our vote won't really be counted. But I have directions on how to check and make sure my vote was counted so I will do that. Also they scanned my license, I had changed my address through the license bureau recently and they elections volunteers were saying it was bringing up some totally different person and address, so that's scary. Looks like I need to make a trip to the license bureau again.

Yikes that's scary!
I'm glad I got to vote before we moved so I didn't have to mess with all that. I went ahead and voted for all the tax levies since I won't be paying property taxes here anymore.
When will we likely know the outcome of the election? My students asked me this morning and I'm not sure I told them the right thing
Usually by 8PM - 10PM they have a pretty accurate idea of the results. But, it actually takes a few days for finalized results, because until every absentee and provisional ballot is counted, they can't make it official.

Ok good. That's pretty much what I told them. I said we might know very late tonight unless it's super close, and then they might need a few days to be sure. It would be past 10pm here before polls close on the west coast, right?

At 10PM here the polls will be closing on the west coast, assuming they close at 7PM. It's a three hour time difference.
That's awful vlagroupie. They need to get it together.
I didn't have too much of a line but I wanted to use the electronic machine so DS could push the buttons and the people who use it are always so slow! It's like if you're not doing straight party ticket or you're going to take 10 minutes to turn the dial- do a paper ballet...

It'll be 11:00 here before the last polls close. But I stayed up until 1am last week to see the Cubs win, so I'd feel pretty shitty about myself if I didn't stay up for this. LOL

I'm not staying up. Once they feel confident in who one, that'll be good enough for me. Plus, this pregnancy exhaustion has hit and I can't stay up past 11PM anymore.
Here's something interesting if you're looking for something to read today. Supposedly the only media outlet making predictions today. I'm curious to see how accurate they are able to be.

I voted Thursday before our trip. I can't focus on anything else today. I was feeling pretty confident, but I'm also pretty nervous.
And oh, we are back from our trip! The flight up wasn't so bad (the man in front of DD, whose seat she kicked a lot, was super understanding and nice. Plus she slept for 40 min of it), but the flight home was stressful. She refused to sleep, and kept practicing her high pitched screaming. I hope the next time we fly goes better. The trip itself was lots of fun though (minus my trump supporting MIL trying to talk politics with me).
That's awful vlagroupie. They need to get it together.

What's scary is that the election workers really don't know what is going on. There should really be one knowledgeable person at each polling place. But I'm guessing most are volunteers. But they were scrambling and apologizing saying they are all newbs.

Almost all election location persons are volunteers. But I agree, there needs to be at least one staff member at each location.

We're waiting on the neurosurgeon to come in to talk to us, but the neuro np told us that it's really aggressive and imbedded; he most likely has 2mo to 1 yr.

I'm so, so sorry. Will keep you all in continued T's & P's.
I can't stop reading the pantsuit nation stuff. It's just giving me all the feels about women.
Me too. I love it. I know not everyone on here is a Hillary fan, but I love her and just have so much respect for her career and the things that she has done in her career already. I am so grateful that she has endured all the hate and ugliness of the campaign and has overcome all the challenges that women of her generation faced in the workplace (as well as the famous challenges in her personal life). It would have been easier for her to quit, but she didn't and now are now at the doorstep of electing the first woman president of the USA.
