Good morning! I will not be discussing anything political, don't worry. Have a great day & lots of coffee! (If you use the 7-11 app, you can get free coffee for Election Day)
Teleworking for a few more hours, then going to daycare for DD's ballet recital, then driving into the office. I already voted absentee so nothing left to do but wait until the end of the day to see the results.
Currently waiting in a mega line to vote before work. Lots of people are saying this is the highest turn out in a lot of years - so even though I'm not excited about the line, I'm happy so many people are taking the time to vote

You're in one of the important swing states right?

My Roku wasn't connecting to the internet this morning so M missed out on his Little Baby Bum YouTube morning songs. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in, but no go. I'm guessing a lot of internet traffic for Election Day? Anyone else know why it could possibly say fail to connect to internet?
We have voting stations in my building so I'll be headed to vote after work.
Was supposed to work at the daycare today (was arranged last week before C got sick). But he still has his fever, and can barely keep his eyes open. Thankfully he seems to be coughing less and breathing easier. Hoping to go vote this morning after he wakes back up.

I'm in Michigan, so yeah, apparently we've become a swing state in the last week. I've only seen two trump hats in the crazy long line though, which makes me hopeful!
Today is my final day of my 5 day weekend. I know, you're all so sad for me ;-) Then I have to work a day and a half until my three day weekend. I am being formally observed tomorrow so I'm a ball of anxiety about it. I'm trying a totally new lesson style for that lesson because I'm ambitious? I still have to make a couple maipulatives for the lesson but it should be fine.
I get to go to Kindermusik with O today!! I think there are 8 or 9 kids in this class and I'm excited to do it with him. I wish I got to go more often and could make some IRL mom friends who live near me. After that we're going to vote! I did my homework so I know who I'm choosing for everything. Then home to finish my stuff for work and my exchange ornament. It's almost done. H wants to get me a sewing machine now so I can whip them out faster. I don't think he gets why I like making things by hand.
It's my last week in the office! I'll be working remote starting next week until whenever baby comes. Until then, I have odds and ends to wrap up here. Everything on my to do list is all the crap I put off until the end and didn't want to do before. I should have planned better.
Speaking of planning. DH woke up this morning and was all pissy because he has to work a 24hr shift today. He couldn't find anyone to cover for an hour for him to go vote. I've been telling him for the past week he should vote early, but does he listen to me? Nope!
I think I forgot my coffee cup in the voting booth. At least I finished it all before I got there! I've finally made it to work and am now procrastinating, even though I have so much to do. I have a feeling a bit is going to have to wait till tomorrow though, I'm now basically just waiting for tonight to watch the election coverage! DS had his first rough night in a few weeks, so I'll be finding ways to get some extra caffeine in to stay up until they announce a winner!

LBB is super excited about the whole voting thing. DH is going to pick BH up from daycare so I can pick up LBB and bring him to the polls with me.
LBB: I'm voting for the same president you and daddy voting for. Me: Do you know who that is? LBB: no Me: Then how do you know you want to vote for that person? LBB: well I know you're not voting for Donald Trump
Hey! I'm waiting for H to drop off his car and then we're going to vote. We have a play date at 10 and I don't think we're going to be on time since my H would not get off the phone this morning!
Last time that I took A to vote, she lost her mind because I wouldn't let her colour too. I'm kind of jealous that you have stickers.
Good luck today!
Awe, my kids got future voter stickers when we voted at the federal..I think?? Maybe it was our provincial..they were so close to each other haha!
ETA it was definitely federal, I remember now! DS was so happy he thought he was winning the prime minister race when H asked me what the results were looking like.
Morning! I was number 520 at my polling location and my vote is in
DS got a little reader/flyer thing at school about voting and how the polls work. He brought it home and there was a picture of Trump and Hillary on the front. I pointed to Hillary and asked who it was and he didn't know. I pointed to Trump and he said "ummm... Mcdonalds?"

That's hilarious. DS calls him 'that angry man on TV'

I'm home sick today. I'm planning to nap/rest for the morning, vote after lunch, and then I have a follow up appt for my foot this afternoon to hopefully ditch the boot.
I hope this is what your body needs to feel better. I'm sorry you've been stuggling with the fatigue/achiness, but I hope it passes for you soon!
billyhorrible you've taught LBB the important things. I love seeing kids at the polls with their parents. It didn't work out for us to take W when we early voted and I didn't push it since he's so little but from here on out, I plan to always take him. Such an important example to set!
Here in out like 4 years from now or just the next election? I think it's great to get kids involved early, but it is no small feat to try to keep a toddler occupied while you wait to vote/vote. Notice I'm not taking BH with me!
I started crying in the car talking to LBB about why this election is important, and how wonderful it is that he will never understand the novelty of a black president or a woman president. Both will just be a given for his generation.
Have no idea what number voter I was but C and I went in and voted. We both got our stickers (not that C cares about his)
It's almost 11am and C still hasn't eaten yet. I've tried dry cereal, eggs, fruit pouch, waffles, yogurt, and peaches. Refused all of it- even the beloved fruit pouches. Hopefully he'll eat soon! Getting ready to torture him and give him his 2nd nebulizer treatment of the day.
I'm planning to go vote after work today. I've never had to wait in line at the polling place before so hopefully the line isn't too bad. But it's awesome that so many people are getting out and voting! I feel so hopeful that Hillary is going to take this election but I'm so nervous about the thought of Trump being our president. He makes me so sick. Blegh. I'm happy it's finally election day.

I was voter 17 today, got my sticker and everything:) C stayed with DH while I voted and he will hit the polls after work. DNW to wrangle a toddler while trying to carefully fill in the bubbles on the voting ballot!
I am so mad at myself. I don't know where my head was. But now I'm just going back after nap with DD and my mom. Perhaps the line will be shorter.
I'm legit curious here - did you just forget your ID or have you voted elsewhere in the past and not needed it?
Not scoop, but I did not need an ID today. It's the 1st time I've voted in this county (moved here in 2014) but I've voted in the state for past elections. The asked my name, read me my address, and asked my birthdate. Boom, voted.

They actually swiped my ID through some sort of reader.
