This morning, N said she had to poo and pulled her pants off, so I sat her on the potty. She got up after 10 seconds, said, "I poo!" and clapped. There was no poo. LOL. But, it was adorable!
N is at DC for picture day!!! I'm stupid excited. She's wearing her lil Mae dress and boots. The girls were like, OMG SHE IS SO CUUUTE. I'm like, I KNOOOOW. So silly.
I'm off today! Whoop whoop! Just finished breakfast at diner with MH. Hoping to just get some of my home under control, grocery shop, etc. so I can have a less stressful weekend.
Morning! At work. I don't have off for Veteran's Day, so... here I am...
SO is off hunting and I think I'm going to take advantage and do tux stuff for the wedding. I don't need him present and bitching about wanting to wear camo. IT'S NOT HAPPENING. And since we'll be in the area, we'll stop by BRU to purchase a potty and maybe a Thanksgiving and Christmas outfit for Miss M.

Jo sits on her potty constantly. She carries it out of the bathroom and sits on it anywhere in the house. She also now runs back and grabs the box of tissues so she can pretend wipe too. Adorable, but a huge waste of tissues.
Also, it makes me nuts that DH allows her to carry the potty around. Gross.
And Jo has a giant beer belly. She pretty thin when she wakes up, but as the day progresses it just gets bigger and bigger and bigger. She looks adorable in her Mae in the morning, not quite as cute after lunch.
Guise. I'm having serious anxiety over Thanksgiving. DNW any political talk. I will literally pick up my plate and eat outside.
I mean, you could go our route and schedule major surgery for the day before Thanksgiving so you don't have to go. And DH's family is a selfish pile of shit so only one person will come visit in the hospital. So thats a win.
The lose is I get no Thanksgiving. Kinda bummed about that.

I have the sudden urge to drive south and bring Thanksgiving to you.
My replacement came in today to see the classroom. It was weird and I felt icky. I know im leaving and i cant really explain it other than i felt very territorial all of a sudden. These are my babies, i cant imagine anyone else ever taking care of them. Or working in my classroom.
graciest719, I'm with you on the no wet bread! I wouldn't miss it if we had no dressing at Thanksgiving. A goes potty on the potty more than in her diaper when she's home. We tried panties yesterday and she stayed dry all morning. My hopes of being out of diapers by Christmas may come true. However, every potty we pass we have to stop!!!

Here to check in for my one day a week. I fail at PB anymore. Sorry, guys!
@megaugust10 - Way to go E!
ladymike - I guess expressing that she needs to go is a start, right? And woohoo for picture day! I also love days off to get stuff done. Makes life so much easier!
malvo - I love that you are avoiding tuxes with him because of camo. GL with Thanksgiving!
graciest719 - I think that's why we'll be getting a potty seat for the regular toilet. DNW to have to empty and clean a kids potty. I can change diapers all day long but something about that idea makes me want to vomit. GL with Thanksgiving I still owe you exercises! I suck!
ruemorgan - I completely get what you mean. Hopefully it's an easy transition for your kiddos.

I just wrote the longest catch up thread and PB deleted it. So here we go -
N got approved for speech and OT for eating. They believe his facial muscles are underdeveloped, making his chew so inefficient that he can't break down anything except smooth (yogurt, pudding) and dissolvable solids (cereal, goldfish, crackers). Speech feels like he's on the brink of real, understandable words but we definitely need to work on it. So that's a good thing. He'll be seen in the home once a week per service.
We also toured a daycare this morning because DH needs sleep and is working with a football team in the fall, for which he'll need to be at work for a few hours on a day that I work - leaving no one to watch our kid. So we're probably going to do two half days (9-1) starting in the fall. I went to the appointment super not prepared so what are your suggestions to questions that I should ask via email now?
Other than that, work is crazy. Typical day is 15-16 patients and we're seeing 26 regularly. And LLR is also taking off for me so life is crazy. But I promise to try to come back sooner than a week from now!
Sorry, the app has been buggy all day and error-ing like mad.
portuguesemama So glad N is getting the assistance he needs! My little brother had a tongue tie that was never fixed, so he had a speech impediment (my name was a rough one for him) and did speech therapy. You can barely tell anymore, only when he's hopped up on Red Bull and talks too fast. It's amazing how quickly things start flowing once in therapy. Thinking good thoughts for you guys!
As far as DC questions...
1. Certifications and the type of people they hire (like, do you hire people who actually want to do this for a living, or people needing a job until something else comes along). I want my kid to have stability!
2. Schedule. What do they do all day?
3. Can I know what they are learning / focusing on each week so I can help at home?
4. Peanut-free school (most are)? DNW to be the mom who sent in PB&J and almost kills a kid.
5. Social media policy (cause SO is crazy).
6. Medication and how they handle it.
7. Talk to me about nap time (where will she sleep, what can she sleep with, what can't she sleep with (wubanubbs, for example), is someone always in the room during nap time, etc.).
8. How do you handle different people picking up kids? Do they ask for ID (they better!). They should have a file that lists who can pick up the kid, but should still check ID if it's someone who doesn't come often and they don't recognize right away.
9. Is the front door locked in any way? M's DC has a code that we punch in. This was very important to me.
