It's like a 90% we are using it! I like Ted, Teddy, T, and little T for the nicknames! With Colin all I have it is little C. Of course then I can have a big C (Clara) and that might be cute! This is hard!
Plus also Theodore Arthur is amazing and Theo is a cute nn too.

Anecdote: my son's name is Chad. My dad is the worst offender for calling him "C man". He knows it is an awful nn and always corrects himself after. His buddies call each other ___ man so it is just force of habit.
Oh I did that and didn't even click until MH said something and and was like damn it! Little C it is! Lol!

Lol! I think it is just a natural go-to for short boy names. Or any boy names.
Next two weeks I only work 3 days each week thanks to A/S scan, vacation day and Thanksgiving break. Feels good. The next full week of work is going to feel killer haha
STMs: is it possible to go through the 18 month sleep regression at 16 months? DD, who used to go down at/by 7 no problem and sleep through the night 8/10 times, is now taking almost an hour to get to bed, and it involves a whole lot of screaming and crying. I just texted H telling him "I hope you're happy with a family of 4 b/c we are NOT EVER having another 1." When he said, "sure!" I responded with, "Perfect. So you wanna get fixed?" And I'm only half kidding..ugh, hand me a glass of (nonalcoholic) wine please..

Yes to the sleep. Usually anytime they learn/are about to learn a big skill they have a regression sleep wise.

Yes, unfortunately. I think the month is just an estimate. FWIW, DS went through it at 19 months and it was hands down our worst regression. It also coincided with a huge language leap. Hang in there!
Thanks everyone. DD has recently started desperately trying to communicate beyond the one words and pointing (she looks at me like, "why can't you understand me!?" and I feel so bad!), so it does make sense. It just took a few bad nights and me googling "16 month old won't go to sleep" for the light bulb to go off. I have heard it's the worst (& we've gotten lucky so far with not too terrible regressions), so fingers crossed I survive & will enjoy being a mom again eventually!
moutonrouge I will prevail. I am rewashing the cushion covers in hopes of H putting them on damp.
And I am totally jealous of your boy name meggypoo1 it is nms, but it really is a kick ass name.
Fffc. obi I can't for the life of me figure out what ___ man would be. I need hints or a pm please. Apparently I am extra dense today.
I meant it to show that they call each other firstinitial man. Like T Man, K Man, A Man. Which is why he keeps calling DS C-Man, then correcting himself haha. My dad and his friends have like 500 nn's for one another. It gets hard to follow. Like, his friend Tim gets called Barney. My dad gets called Mitch which is not his name, just same first letter. No effing clue why they cant just use each other's real names.
Its 11:10pm and I am trying to stay up until my H gets home but he wont be here for another 2+hrs and I am fading fast. Uuughhghhhh. Sorry H. No sexy time for you.

Last week I only worked 3.5 days. This upcoming week is all 5 days, followed by a 2 day work week...... Next week is gonna suck, but the first fifteen school days in Dec will be worse. The students and teachers all look forward to winter break, and its a long three weeks with no days off after a November with what feels like a day off every week.
Don't know where you're located geographically, but that's when we pray for a snow day We also like them in February when it seems it's darkest, coldest and the longest month EVER. Although with the way the weather has been going for us, I'd be delighted if it snowed AT ALL before Christmas.

Chicago
But no snow days this year please! That means I would have to go back to work those make up days most likely.
How many snow days are you allotted? We get 5 or 6, I can't remember. Are you planning on going back to school after baby comes or will you try to ride out til summer break? Since my EDD is right around the last quarter, I'm hoping to just coast through the end of the year on maternity leave (I'll have to take a few weeks unpaid). But if baby comes really early or if I get put on bed rest or something then it will be a different story.
