I just stepped up my crunchy game and made my own dry shampoo... it is awesome. I used to have to wash and style every other day... It would be great if I could wash and style only twice a week. We shall see!
DS2 gained 6 oz this week!! This was his first full week on solids and it's obviously helping his weight gain. Such a nice feeling for once.
That's awesome!
How often does he get solids? I'm still all over the place sometimes twice a day, or once a day or not at all. But lo's weight gain has slowed right down and bottle feeding is frustratingly hard so I'm wondering if I should start feeding solids more regularly. I only ask because our littles share a birthday.

I'm curious to see how this works out. If you like it, please share the recipe!

its easy enough - 2Tbsp each of corn starch, baking soda, and arrowroot powder +10 drops lavender (or other) essential oil. Add coco powder for dark hair or cinnamon. You just use an old makeup brush and keep parting your hair to get all the roots, let it soak up oil for 2 min then shake out and brush through. Today was my first try and would be day 3 since regular washing. I'll try for one more day tomorrow and see. My hair looks totally fresh, feels a little powdery but doesn't seem to bother me yet.

We've only been doing 1 meal a day (supper). I try to fatten up all his purees though with butter or breast milk. He'll be a regular chunker if I went to 2-3 meals, haha.

I make this too! Works great! And is WAY cheaper than regular dry shampoo
We had a long members meeting at church and a lot of things were voted on. We aren't sure our feelings on some of the stuff the elders have decided but have to trust they know more than us haha
I've been in Cam's room 4 times since putting him to bed 4 hours ago. I can't keep doing this. I already feel sick from exhaustion. MH tried going in once and 20 mins of bloodcurdling screams later I gave in and went. I don't know what to do. He's up 5-6 or more times a night lately.
kateisoptimistic, nerdykitten, annarose, westiemom - Thanks for the poop advice yesterday. I swear, I keep having to play poop chicken with him! "Ok. If you don't poop this weekend, I'm calling the doctor on Monday!" Sunday evening - poooooop. This time I actually got as far as calling the doctor's office! Then - poooooop!
I couldn't find any "baby" apple juice yesterday (which I assume would be diluted juice, but my sister is a nurse - with 4 kiddos - and she said she was 99% sure you still should dilute baby juice.) so I just got my own fav organic, all natural juice and will dilute that if I need it in the future. Since he pooed yesterday, I'm holding off on the juice for now and we'll stay the course with our plan for avocado tomorrow.
