I'm WFH today because they have a huge conference at my client site this week and there's no room for my team. It's good in that I can do laundry between conference calls, but I'm always less motivated to do work at home since there are tons of things here I could be doing.
We're telling my family (parents and sisters) about the pregnancy tonight! It's the first grandkid on my side and I can't wait to see their reactions. H and I have been married almost 7 years and together for 13 so they've been waiting a while.

that's exciting!! Do you have something planned or are you just going to tell them?
We took a photo last night with us and our dog. There's a checklist, a "countdown to baby", and random baby stuff everywhere while my H is reading one of the pregnancy books and I'm attempting to diaper our dog. We both have panicked looks on our faces. The plan is to tell them we just had family photos done and I want them to help pick one for our holiday cards. I'll pop this photo up on screen share and wait for them to really look at it.
I just posted this on my BMB, but in case anyone has been eyeing the 4Moms bounceroo you can get its half off on their web store with free shipping using the code bounce50

Do I need this too?
I see them second hand on the swaps a few times a month.
That said, DS preferred a swing over anything else. Our swing turns into a bouncer as well so if DS2 doesn't like the swing, we're set
I'm more of q102 listener myself as well but heard today they got rid of the KANE show and I didn't know why! Their FB page announced the new morning show coming but never told why. I didn't know if you happened to know!
You guys are making me think of when my commute was a long drive and I knew the personalities of the radio hosts on three different stations and would switch at certain times for specific segments. I stopped driving to that client (thankfully, it was rough) and H got me hooked on NPR so haven't listened to those in a while.

Whaaat?! I don't know. But, this makes me happy. One of the reasons I didn't listen to them in the mornings is because I never liked The Kane Show (and plus, I love Jeff and Jenn - did you hear that Fritsch is pregnant?!).
I wonder if it has anything to do with a domestic disturbance that involved Kane and his wife a few months ago. Very interesting. Now I need to go read up to see if I can figure out what happened and to see who the new morning show will be!

Hot flashes today...fun.
One of the mgrs is coughing up a storm and keeps coming over to ask me stuff. go away!
I've lost all motivation to get something done today. Plus tomorrow is my 1st WFH day (2 days out of the week for these last 3 wks). So, I doubt I'll get much work done either.

I'm thankful for a busy week this week, and then lots of Thanksgiving prep next week. I'll take anything that can speed up these weeks of 1st tri that for me are passing in a blur of worry and gas.

H and I are having dinner with his parents tonight and its going to be so hard not to tell them we're pregnant. We aren't keeping it a secret really (I can't keep a secret to save my life), but I got the CUTEST shirt to wear on Thanksgiving as an announcement, and I don't want to spoil the cuteness.

akraus2015, I can't even imagine having to hold that info back Lol The only reason our parents didn't know the day we found out was because the next day was Mother's Day so we just got "from the kids" cards for both moms.

not telling my mom every time I saw her was SO HARD!! But we wanted to wait until Mother's Day. That'll always be my best kept secret. I SUCK at secrets from my mom or DH
I caved. I made it less than an hour into dinner and spilled the beans.

I live 3000 miles away from my parents so it was pretty easy to wait until we were ready. But I was still dying to tell her during our weekly phone calls. Thankfully it worked out both times that I was able to tell them in person!
thelittleredm my company is stubbornly anti-WFH even though a lot of us could. I can't wait for key executive staff to retire!
Work has been really busy. I can't believe next week is Thanksgiving, it really snuck up on me! I have a lot of things at the office I need to get finished before January 3rd. This pregnancy is going so much faster than DS.

I'm really glad I told my parents first thing. I waited a few days to tell my Dad because that's my daddy and I didn't want him to know I had sex lol. I kept saying to my mom "do I have to?!"
I'm very glad he knew before he passed even though every day I wish he made it to holding her.

I told my parents and sisters last night and it was hilariously awesome. I played it cool while we chatted about other things for a while, then told them we had professional photos done for the first time since our wedding and wanted to show them a few of the pics. I shared my screen and popped up the photo I took (me trying to diaper our dog, H reading a parenting book, both of us look panicked, sign with countdown to baby, a checklist of which #1 and #2 are "Panic" and #3 is "Practice on the dog"). It took them about 10 seconds and then they started asking "Is this for real?!" and then my mom and both sisters were crying. I had waited as long as I could because my dad gets home late but he hadn't made it before everyone was ready to hang up so he missed it, but we re-did it for him about 20 minutes later when he finally got home. Couldn't have gone better.
