DS is finally fever free! That was a long awful 4 days. We were supposed to go to a friend's tonight for a get together, I hate to miss it since we so rarely get to do things with people, but we know it would be a bad idea after DS being sick.
We are going to the park though just to get some fresh air. One of us will wear DS so we are not exposing him to other kids.
Any advice on getting a 2yo with the stomach flu home when you are 3 hrs away? DS1 and I have a terrible bug and I just need to get home.
Is he throwing up? If so, maybe some puppy pads strategically placed in the car. Go during nap time, so he sleeps, maybe even get an extra long nap. Good luck.
Thankfully H only threw up once. He seems much better. I had to go to the ER because I got way too dehydrated and couldn't even drink water. After 3 hours in the ER we are on our way home. So far, so good. Thanks for the tips!
My H leaves tomorrow with M for a whole week to visit family *tear*. I'm working all week but I know that's not enough to distract me from missing them. Her first plane ride and I won't be there
I am trying to find the energy to clean the house and pack. Driving 8 hours each way is going to be awful, but I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and visiting with the inlaws.
Every one step forward I make in cleaning results in me leaving the toddler alone long enough to take me 3 steps backwards.
Just a psa: If your kid is not crawling yet, enjoy it. A is all over the place and she's only been crawling since Friday. I wish I had relished her immobility just a little more.
+1 my almost 2 year old was a terror in Target the other day
+2 My 4 year old was an asshole in Target last week. He skipped the terrible 2s but has since made up for it as a threenager and still going strong.
+3, my toddler was so frustrating at Target on Sunday. I was so frazzled by her taking her shoes and socks off at the checkout I forgot to grab one of my bags, the one with recess of course, but at least it was only $8 worth of stuff
GMIL got DD an elf on the shelf her first Christmas. We are not going to do the whole, "the elf is watching you, and reporting to Santa," thing, but I kind of have fun figuring out new places to put the elf each day. Not that she even gets it yet, but I am a dork, and ammuse myself with it.
I actually stood up for myself today when some lady cut me in line at DD. Normally i wouldn't say anything but there was NO WAY she didn't see me standing there with my big ass stroller. She even basically called me a liar questioning how long I'd been standing there. It made me glad I said something.
Line cutters should be shut down whether they're 6 or 80. Good for you!
