Outraged at almost everything

There are so many things to be outraged about (and I am outraged about all of them, all of the time). When I get worked up about one topic, I suddenly think wait, how is that more important than this other topic? It's not, of course, but that doesn't mean that we should forget about it. This was also my problem (and seemingly the media's problem) during the campaign. Anyway, I've created this thread as a place to dump some of my outrage in hopes of spreading the outrage. While it isn't productive to keep in constant high state of outrage, we need to keep vigilant. We can't become complacent but we also need to channel our outrage into productive outlets so we don't become paralyzed. I'll start but please add yours too.

One of the things I could never understand during the campaign was how Trump's business and the massive potential for conflict of interest and corruption it presents never became a serious issue. Hillary got dinged for lack of transparency but really Trump is the least transparent candidate ever. Some links:

Obviously the Republicans want to repeal Obamacare (a privatized program with subsidies), but now Paul Ryan also sees an opening to privatize Medicare (a universal, single-payer system for seniors). Of course the details will be different but broadly what they are proposing is to create a program for seniors that functions similarly to one the have been demonizing ever since it became law. Hell no, I say. It didn't work for Social Security in 2005 and we won't let you do it now either. People look forward to getting off private insurance and getting on Medicare (no more fighting claims with profit-based companies whose interest it is to deny your care).

I agree. Everything I read is as scary or scarier than the last thing. I think it's important not to give in to those calling for a truce. What little is left of left or progressive figures within the government need our support too. They need to keep fighting which is going to be extremely difficult without support publicly.

Maybe we could send letters of support to the house and senate minority? Emails, Facebook comments. Anything to show support.

Even if your reps are GOP you need to let them know what you think. Put pressure on them with calls and then e-mail.

The bolded x1000%  I was just discussing that with my mom yesterday.  How is it that everything the Clinton Foundation does and future conflicts of interest were brought up constantly, but everyone just glossed over the enormous conflict of interest all of his businesses present.  Even if he signs over everything, gives up control to his kids, it's a still family business so the potential issues are glaring!

Current outrage: 20-something white dudes wave Confederate flags at Veteran's Day parade in Petaluma, CA. Now, while I am not super surprised that there are white supremacist assholes in Petaluma, this is really close to home for me so I feel like I should be doing something. But what? What should I do?

This makes me sick.  I'm originally from very nearby, as is MH, and both our families are there.
