@unicornofthesea, I absolutley love that table runner, that is so sweet, and will be cherished for so long!
We go to MIL's for Thanksgiving, and do Christmas with DH's side of the family. Our generation does a secret Santa gift exchange. We have made ginger bread houses the last 2 years, and we go see Christmas lights at a museum. Then Saturday after Thanksgiving we go to DH'S aunts house for a larger family Thanksgiving.
We have always spent Thanksgiving with my mom's family. My Grandpa has alzheimers and I worry every year it will be the last one where everyone gets together. Honestly, it's a little depressing and a long drive but that's what we will do again this year. On Friday we will do breakfast with Santa at the venue where we had our wedding reception.
We go to my MIL's where she makes a delicious spread. Every family (H is 1 of 6 and 5 of them have families) brings something to share. If my parents come visit from Cleveland, they come too. I'm excited to get all the cousins together. There were 9 kids born in the last 4.5 years in the family!
