NellieOleson, I might have done the same thing with the animal, but ewwww. Hugs icequeen. What types of things do they do in your DS's gymnastics class? crimsonandclover, I would use all paper products too! No one has time to wash all those dishes.
My ILs just arrived and are staying for a week. Normally this would be too much for me, but since we don't have too many friends yet, I'm pretty glad to see them.
I've been super busy with work lately, and I feel like my little guy is growing up way too quickly. I finally packed away the boppy today, and I think he's done with his baby bathtub. He's so fun though - he's finally starting to clap his hands and he's started initiating peek a boo.
I'm tipsy and waiting for H to get home. He should be here right away. I was *going* to start sewing the sequins onto M's stocking, but just as I sat down to do it, I realized that I had left the clear seed beads at my mom's. I'm so bored. I'm not into the show I'm watching, I have nothing to occupy my hands, and I can't go read in bed, because H isn't home and I'm a wimp.
crimsonandclover yeah Idk where the nap dust went but I need some. And the dishwater sounds awful! We were without ours last spring and I agree, totally not cool. Paper plates for at least one meal!! silverspoon I feel you on the busy little stinkers. Dd3 is intent on everything she can't have! She actually screamed at me today when I took a board game away from her. Lollipop that sounds amazing. Enjoy! You've earned it. tinydancer perspective is everything isn't it? We use to visit the ils every month bc it was like a free vacation. lol Lol lol. Now I'll be visiting for the day for the first time in almost 18months on thanksgiving. Not a vacay.

I'm trapped under a sick, sleeping baby. The tv remote is on the other side of the room and my phone's battery is about to die. Help! Ha.
Poor dd2 appears to be sick again. This has been the pattern so far this year - we all get sick, start feeling better, then all get sick with some other bug.
Also, haven't left my house in 11 days. Cabin fever!
NellieOleson .... nooooooo.... Take a nap? I am currently cursing whoever it was that mentioned that Target's Cat and Jack line of clothes was cute. I was away this weekend for an awards ceremony and I did some "errand running". Wahhhh that stuff is so cute. L got too many new clothes! I wish she would be big enough to wear them for years.
I took S to see Trolls this afternoon. He loved it, I thought it was pretty cute. Then we hauled a bunch of stuff that we're storing for a family friend home. And now H is hiding out in the dining room, working on his painting stuff. It would be nice, after a week of him being too busy to help with the kids, if on the weekend he could put his stuff away for a few hours and give me a break.

Well I've been 100% absent from this board, but I thought I'd pop on over to share that I'm officially pregnant with #3. EDD 7/22 first ultrasound on 12/1. Crazy but good. So all three with be 18m apart. I'm feeling pretty good. Tired mostly. Still nursing Matty going to keep it up until his birthday and a little after and then wean.
Anyway hope all is well with you ladies. I'll try and pop in more from time to time.
Lollipop, ooo yay I have to schedule my hair appt too. kelltothekell, we got much colder weather too this weekend. Gross. silverspoon, sorry about the poops. DS's have been awful lately. Our rug is F*cked. scorpioscuba, aww I hate to hear you guys are sick. Sending healthy vibes. DH is coming home tomorrow night. He's working through Thanksgiving and then leaving for another overseas trip. tinydancer, we don't do anything too crazy. We start out with circle time doing stretches and isolation exercises then some songs and dance. There's free play alternated with stations (balance beam, rope swing, tumbling mat) and then story time/puppets at the end. dizzycooks, I need DD's naps back too. She started dropping them completely this week. NellieOleson, feel better soon! Holy cow, 11 days??!! I wouldn't be able to stand that.
Oh my gosh surfmama106, that's awesome! I'm really jealous, lol. I'm hoping to convince DH to start TTC again over the holidays. Lollipop, aw glad you had fun! I have yet to take DD to the movies. kcrkcs, it was scuba. I seconded it though, we have lots of cat and jack. Super cute!
icequeen S is 2 years older than your DD. We took him for the first time when he was almost 4, and he wasn't great at sitting still that time. But he does really well now.

Yes, why can't the clothes just grow with them for a little while. I keep seeing cute holiday things, but then I remember he already has a bunch not too mention his regular/non-holiday stuff he will grow out of in a month or so.
DD woke up at 4am and went back to bed at 7:30, right when DS woke up. I called my mom to come over so I could rest because I could not handle it. I feel so guilty. I could have not called and just dealt with it but I felt like total shit. I ended up not sleeping anyway because I kept seeing things that needed to be picked up, put away, organized, prepared for later etc and I just lay in DD's bed with her for 15 min until she woke up. We went to church and they were pretty well behaved but a handful as usual. Afterwards a lady came up to me and was like "boy you really have your hands full, I don't know how you do it! I don't have any kids of my own and after seeing you, I'm kinda glad I don't! I will pray for you!" OH THANKS.
Then we went out to lunch at this cute little diner that's set up like a train station and all the food comes out on train cars. DD was too distracted by all the fun attractions to eat anything and DS started screaming so we had to rush everything. Plus there were so many families there and it was too crowded. We went home and just played there for the rest of the day. My mom did come by again and DD is doing well around her, thank God.

4am again today. She has her 3 yo physical today. Ped and I are going to have a long talk.
Have you thought about getting a GroClock? That's the brand name but there are other brands that do the same thing. We also had a phase where DD1 got up earlier and earlier. When she had her "quiet time" in the afternoon she also kept coming down to ask if it was over. With the GroClock, you set it for when the sun "comes up". Then about 10 stars show up on the face of the clock, and if you have it set to go up in a hour (e.g. for quiet time), then a star disappears every 6 minutes. At night if you have it set for the sun to come up at 6am and your DD goes to bed at 6pm, then a star disappears about every hour (plus a few minutes). At the time you set, the stars disappear and the sun comes up on the clock, so the kid knows they can get up. Our girls love it because they never have to wonder how much time is left or whether they can get up. Although DD2 likes to come down from her room during quiet time and say, "Mama! There's only one star left on my clock!" Sigh...
I don't know if I explained it well, but basically you can use it to push back her wake-up time. Start it at 4:15am, then 4:30, then 4:45, etc. And all that happens at that time is that the face of the clock changes from blue with a sleeping star to orange with a smiling sun. If they're asleep it doesn't wake them up, but when they do wake up they'll see that it's ok for them to get out of bed.
We have one for DD1, one for DD2, and we will be getting one for DD3. We also take them with us on vacation, they are that awesome.

Oh wow, I didn't know they made those. Sounds pretty cool! I will definitely check it out. Thank you. Hopefully these early mornings won't continue.
OMG congrats surfmama106!!! I am so excited for you!!
icequeen - I hope that the GroClock works for you - 4am is way too early! And I am thankful every Sunday that my church has a sound-proof children's room. We are usually the only ones sitting in it. But DS can scale the walls without bothering anyone. They should be REQUIRED in every church! LOL!
