Good thing, too, since I left it on the kitchen table! Then Willow smashed her fingers in a drawer, Ash fell into her, wrenching said fingers in the drawer, and I spent the whole appointment consoling her.
But it's done! I would burn the stinky gross thing if I wasn't afraid of the toxic fumes! Hooray!

How did I not know that "A" was Asher? That is gonna be twinkie A's name!

I don't use their names often, mostly because it's quicker. It was the ONLY boys name we could agree on. The OB who delivered them had a son named Asher as well- not that it's terribly common, just a happy coincidence

Yay for A! How long was he in the helmet for schmella? Damian just started with his on Saturday and is tolerating it pretty well so far. We were told it would probably be 3 to 4 months which was honestly less than I expected.

nerdykitten, Ash had a pretty severe case, he had 2 DOC bands over the course of 7 months. The younger you start, the quicker you see results and the less they notice it. If for some reason they say he'll need a second one, make sure to get the paperwork and approvals through ASAP. Ours got caught up and he went almost 3 weeks without a helmet, and at 9m they are developmentally more aware- it pissed him off royally that first week, and his sister thought it was fun to yank him down with it

They don't allow anything like that to start until six months here and the paper work and then waiting for the helmet to actually come in started him wearing it a few days after turning seven months old. Hopefully he won't need a second one since it would be at ten or eleven months old.

What's his adjusted age though? All of this was based on adjusted age. They won't do a helmet until 4m adjusted, growth is faster until 6m adjusted, and helmets are still pretty effective until I think 16m adjusted?
A's issues were largely created in utero. His head was pressed pretty hard against my pelvic bone on one side. The back of his head stuck out so far the poor kid couldn't turn his head on his own, his eyes and ears were misaligned, he had a large bulge on one side and his cheeks were disproportionate.
It's so much better now. Not perfect but the comparison pics are awesome!

His adjusted age is between five and six months. I know he will get some good prime growth time in. His case is not as severe and wasn't an inutero issue.

Hey ladies, do you all remember how your twins were measuring percentile wise in your scans? We had our anatomy scan today and they are measuring in the 56th percentile which to my overly competitive type A brain seems really low. The MFM said you don't want them above 90% or below 10%, um that's an insane range! Anyway, I just thought if those that are farther along than me or with their babies already here could offer a reference point it would help me to accept what the MD said about them being right on track. Thanks!

Mine consistently measured at about 50% and 65% through most of my pregnancy. By my last couple of scans, Baby A was measuring about 40% and Baby B was about 50% because their growth had started to slow down a bit as they ran out of room.
Think about it this way, 50% is exactly NORMAL and what they expect to see for gestational age. So a baby measuring 56% is measuring just slighty bigger than normal. I always pictured it like a bell curve: the majority are going to fall in that middle range and measure "on track" or normal. Some measure quite a bit bigger, some measure quite a bit smaller. So a baby measuring in the 90th percentile would be one of the biggest they'd expect to see for that particular gestational age. Same with a baby in the 10th percentile being one of the smallest they'd expect for that gestational age. I hope this helps!

pbandj714, thank you! I swear I keep waiting for something to be abnormal, thankfully nothing is. But it helps hearing others experience and knowing there are healthy happy babies at the end of this!

I totally remember waiting for something to go wrong my whole pregnancy. Hugs, it's hard!
I'm not as meticulous as @feegan, although I'm sure all that info is here on tcf somewhere, but I think we hovered around the 30-50th percentiles. They were both 5lb 4oz at 36+3 at birth, so they were on track to be average (50th) size babies.
Think of it this way, you probably don't want a pair of 90th percentile babies in there- I was pretty miserable with 10lbs of baby at the end, 20+ lbs of babies?!?! Yikes!
We had huge discordance issues (34% at birth), but Z started out around 50th, then dropped to around 30th by the end. W measured much bigger, around 75, then about 60 by the end.
It really hit home Wednesday night how lucky we were. An IRL friend had her triplets Monday at 32+5 and everyone is doing well, but it made me realize that Z most likely would have been in the NICU if I had called the doctor when my BP shot so high a few days before they were born (like they told me to). As it was, she barely avoided NICU time because she struggled to maintain her temp and failed the car seat test the first time.

So my last appt summary has A LOT of percentages. Someone tell me which number I'm supposed to look at? I know she said both babies were about 8oz at 18 weeks.

@dukesgirl I had a 34w growth ultrasound yesterday and 1 baby is in the 80th percentile and the other is in the 100th. My twinkies have been measuring ahead almost the entire time. Apparently I will be giving birth to toddlers.
Because I know this was just a fluke, I'll talk about it on here. W actually slept through the night last night! I put him in his crib still awake, with a pacifier, he fell asleep on his own, and slept until 7 this morning. Z still woke at 3, so I still fed him in the night without actually waking him.
