Plotting the death of the electoral college long term

I personally don't have a lot of fath that the electoral college is going to give HRC this election, although I've signed every petition and etc, but I also think we need to get rid of it. While removing it at the national level is pretty damn hard, removing it piecemeal via state law is actually feasible and well underway. What to do: 
Figure out if you're in a state that hasn't passed the law yet. If you're not, call your local representatives to encourage them to pass it. As the NPR story goes, this isn't just about the electoral college, but about bring non-swing state issues to the forefront of presidential elections.
