I live in California so my senators and reps are always already on my side, but I was planning to call Sen Feinstein today to thank her for her statement against Bannon and urge her to continue to oppose him, so I'll voice my support for Head Start as well.

That's awful that they're having to worry about cuts. I signed and sent the letters. There's already a template and it autofills your information and submits it to for you. And I'll call on Monday.

I taught those age groups here in FL. At 4 all students in Florida get free voluntary pre kindergarten but only half day. I think the program really benefits students and their families. I taught kindergarten in Philadelphia at a charter school and my kids went straight to a full day of school because there is no free preschool program in place there. Not all parents are educated enough to prepare their children for school the way the should be. My mom did it for me almost 30 years ago. Soni was lucky. This is a great cause to support.
