Got a call from the grocery store that we bought, and already consumed, a bunch. Luckily nobody got sick.
Just FYI, listeria can show symptoms up to 70 days after consumption so just watch out for fevers or GI symptoms. The GI sickness form usually occurs within a few days though. The febrile/sick form of the illness is the one that can show up around 70 days later with average onset of illness around 30ish days.
Pregnants: if you are symptomatic, call the doctor. I believe current practice is not to do anything until/unless symptoms but I'm sure some doctors may want to test routinely with confirmed exposure.
Well shit. I hope they are just being really overly cautious bc I'm pissed I ate some of it. Like we need another thing to worry about.

Seriously. It was found in the manufacturing facility but they haven't actually tested the products. A lot of the issue is that many times women don't realize that they have eaten a high-risk item and even if they do, they don't associate it with the symptom they feel up to two months later.
I read a study with two infected women who had symptoms 19 and 23 days post exposure. My suggestion would be to call your doctor and see what they say, and just be aware of any flu-like symptoms for the next 70 days - fever, muscle aches, headaches, GI upset, etc.
So call the doctor. They may want to do some routine testing. Be aware that even when pregnant, the odds of getting it are small. That being said, it can sometimes be asymptomatic so you may want to advocate for testing with your doctor. The fact that you are aware of the potential exposure puts you way ahead of the game.
Correction: it was found in the facility, but has not been found in any of the tested products. Part of Sabra's QA protocol is to test the finished products coming off the line every two minutes.
This recall was voluntary out of an abundance of caution, and not because of a contaminated finished product as far as they are aware

@wineandcupcakes thanks. I pushed them further about it and they are willing to test for it even though it's not normal protocol (like I'm being a pain or something... sorrynotsorry). They have to discuss with the labtech how to do the test etc so I don't think it would be until next week. Hopefully that is still in the window to catch it.
