Checked out an in-home daycare for R today and it's a go! Work starts Monday after Thanksgiving, eek!
We used techniques a friend got from a sleep consultant and made a 4 hour "no feed zone" when H held and rocked R if he cried. There was certainly crying, but he went 4 1/2 hrs without Feeding! Then he slept a 2 1/2 hour stretch and then 1 1/2. Let's see if it gets better and crying stops.

Hopefully he'll start moving calories to daytime and his appetite will adjust. FX for you!

The stomach flu has entered the coffee house. S2 Friday, S1 this am. H and I are just a matter of time. Fingers crossed baby M stays strong. Been washing hands before we pick her up since Friday sooo maybe she will hold out.

Your doing mainly FF right? So could be that. With DD it did mean constipation. Does your LO strain or cry when going? If so then she could be constipated.
Sorry coffeequeen14... Good luck keeping baby healthy.
No one slept in our house last night, and terrible toddler didn't nap today. Wow, bedtime could not come soon enough tonight. She was a mess from 2pm on!

We went to a black tie wedding tonight. We hired a babysitter and escaped from the kids for a few hours. I even had a couple glasses of wine. It was so much fun!
I'm am so tired. The past few weeks I have been up an average of 6 times per night between all 3 girls. The big girls are quick things but it's still waking me up. "Cover me up!" Um, do it yourself kid.
DH keeps offering to help more at night (he is a super heavy sleeper so I have to wake him up to help, he won't hear them on his own) and I need to stop trying to be super mom and let him help.
At what age do you feel comfortable letting them have one of the small, single layer, 16 inch muslin A&A security blankets in their crib (not the big swaddle blankets)?
I am really paranoid about regular blankets and don't let my kids have them until way after they probably could, but I know I let my older two use the small muslin ones early. I can't remember when.
I just ordered some for DD3 because she loves to snuggle blankets.

I started using a crochet blanket at naps somewhere around 6-8 months. At night wasn't until 1 or later. She didn't use a regular blanket with holes in it until 1.5 or so.

Once they can play peek-a-boo with a blanket and successfully pull it off of their heads, I let them have a thin blanket
hannahbear are you FF? DD is formula fed and she'll get some solid ones but as long as she's not crying while pooping I don't worry. She definitely has a poop face though lol.
This weekend was crazy. Saturday MH, DD and I got Waffle House for breakfast and drove out to the nearest mall so we could get pictures with Santa done. DD did really well!
When we got home, MH took my dad to Verizon so that he could go on our plan. While they were out my mom was checking her voicemail which she never does and my dad's doctor's office called to tell him his potassium levels were high and to go to the ER ASAP. They sent the voice mail on Friday afternoon and now we're halfway through Saturday. My dad gets home and I tell him we have to go to the ER so we head out there thinking it would be like two hours. He ended up being admitted his levels were so high. Come to find out it was a blood pressure medication he's been on for years was causing the high potassium levels so they put him on new medication.
I was proud of MH though he put DD to bed all by himself. The only thing he didn't do was turn her Owlet on but I was able to do that from the hospital.
Am I the only one excited about eating everything for thanksgiving?

Well it's 8am and it's already been A MORNING. DH had jury duty, and the instructions were to arrive early because the courthouse is under construction. His car wouldn't start! So super quickly we had to wake the baby (grrrrr) and head out the door. I dropped DH off downtown and then fed E in the parking lot! He was so hungry, poor little guy.
Baby M is the only hold out for the flu. H and I were down for the count last night. I'm trying to pump now and send M to my moms so I can work and rest but I'm so dehydrated I'm not pumping much:(
youdontsay yes he is FF now. I just had never seen poop like that before!
Ds gets some harder poops sometimes, but it's usually a small bit and then the rest is more normal. He sometimes has to push really hard for it, but he isn't screaming. Our dr said it's okay.

A terrible cold has had us all down for the last week. Poor ds2 had so much trouble breathing. I did go out and get a nose frida, which worked very well.
Today I am doing massive amounts of laundry. We may be having some family stay this week, so I am also going to attempt to clean the house. Grocery shopping is also on my list. Last year I made the mistake of shopping the day before Thanksgiving - never again!

We are planning a Costco trip tomorrow to buy pies... already dreading it!
