After a year of not having one, periods are the worst.
Baby suddenly learned to roll over yesterday. Went from not even trying to roll to rolling every time he laid down. I'm so proud. He also decided he'd forget how to sleep. He was wide awake every 3 or so hours last night. SO does not cope well with night time wake ups.
Oh my. E had his shots at his four month appointment yesterday and was miserable all day and night. He was crying in his sleep! And he woke up every single hour last night. This didn't happen last time! Poor, sad little guy.
We're doing our functionality release testing (work) this morning and I'm on my own with both kids and I want to cry.
I need a break. I keep telling DH I need a break but he just doesn't seem to understand that when I say I need a break, I need a break.
He's seen those moms in the news who suffer from PPD and bad things happen and has made comments about how sad it is that they reached out for help but no one helped them and here I am like PLEASE HELP ME and he just isn't getting it.
steph, I'm worried about you. Is there anyone else you can ask for help? Parents? Other relatives? Can you get a babysitter, even for just a few hours?

Oh god. I know how stressed my H gets during release testing, and that's with me doing the heavy lifting parentally. I'm sorry, I wish I could come and help you!!
hannahbear my mom watched them for a bit when I was sick. She's got a busier life than I do, she's always out and about. My MIL cannot handle more than an hour with any child so she's out.
gratefulgirl that's kind of what I did. I messaged him and told him that I need a break. I need to leave the house with no kids and just go somewhere away for a bit. I told him I've mentioned needing a break a few times now and I don't know how else to tell him that I'm about to lose my mind if I don't get some time for myself. He gets so much time to himself it just isn't fair.
B has been extra sassy lately. I can't even deal with her. I've been working from home with a baby, then she gets home and it's me trying to juggle both. Baby is hungry, Bailey needs me for this, baby is hungry again. Baby wants mama. I microwaved soup for myself at 6pm last night. I ate it at 10. Meanwhile husband had two chicken sandwiches and a bowl of cereal.
There's so many ways I can respond to your post with commiseration or advice, but I'm not sure what you need. So, I'll be brief: tell him exactly what you need. "Break" is too vague - say you need him to watch the kids for three hours starting at 5pm. And don't be afraid to ask for it.

DH is finally on his way home. He called and was like "let me tell you how rough my day was. I broke my thumbnail" I almost freaked the fuck out on him. Then he laughed and told me he was kidding and asked if I was okay.
I may chop his thumb off when he gets home. Not funny sir. Not funny. I will kill you in your sleep and the jury will let me go free.
Omg he came home and I was like "I'm going to go take a shower in peace and shave my legs and it's going to be amazing love you bye" and within seconds of me getting in 13yo SD gets in the shower in her bathroom and there goes the water pressure. She's been on her fucking iPad all day and NOW she needs a shower?!?

Sorry I know I'm venting big time today guys
Vent away! Some days are much harder than others. Having these groups are sometimes the only thing that keeps me sane. I hope DH gives you a nice break and that you can find something else to help you relax (since SD ruined the shower).

Whenever I want time to myself, I paint my nails. 1. DH can't stand the smell of nail polish. 2. It takes "forever" to dry, so I can't do anything that would mess the polish, but sit and read or play on my surface. That usually buys me an hour.

I think I am dangerously close to the puking from sleep deprivation phase of this baby thing. Part of this is my own fault for relishing my quiet nighttime hours. Part of it is DD3's recent habit of waking up screaming any time she needs to fart. I assume the latter is 4 month regression and overtiredness rather than some new gas pain issue, but ugh. Need sleep.
steph, did you ever get another med to replace the celexa? Also, did your doctor/psychiatrist instruct you to gradually increase your dose? Or did they start you on the full dose? That could explain your side effects.

I took it and got so so so sick and haven't taken it again since. I have an appt with them Friday. I can't do that again while breastfeeding. Since I wasn't eating or drinking my supply dropped so much. My baby is too fat for that lol
