steph I hope cutting the dosage helps you with the side effects. When I started on Celexa I had to halve the dosage because of side effects as well, that helped a lot with the nausea and dizziness I got. Unfortunately, it didn't help with the sexual side effects
I'm glad it helped with the nausea but bahhhhh not what I wanted to hear about the sex.
quirks please take care of yourself. We're always here if you need to vent. Hugs!
My doc told me to cut my dosage of the anxiety meds in half. They're making me so nauseous and giving me headaches that are different than the ones I normally get. They start in the back of my neck and the pounding gets really bad sometimes. It's rough. Also, maybe tmi alert, orgasms aren't a thing for me now. It just won't happen. Nononono not giving that up!
That sounds like my experience with Celexa. Can you maybe try Lexapro or Zoloft?
Does anyone else's LO seem to be teething? I picked up a Sophie for DD today bc she seems to have several of the early signs
Yes! We started offering Sophie yesterday. She's drooling like crazy, chewing on her hands, and chewing on anything else she can figure out how to put in her mouth.

She bites down on my knuckle anytime I will give it to her, too. And her diapers have...uh....changed.

pttomato we recently stopped fighting the nap schedule and have gone more on her cues. If we wait to try to put her to sleep she goes down in 5 minutes of rocking versus 30 minutes. For outings I usually leave right after I fed her. That way I have a good 2 to 3 hours before she needs to eat again. She will generally sleep in the car on the way to wherever we're going, but also on the way home so she gets In two short naps.

pttomato maybe when home trying for nap closer to 1.5-2 hours awake. It's helped DS go down easier. I try for one or two naps at home, but planning around 3 naps is impossible. So I go out while he's still awake but know he might fall asleep. I also know all bad habits can be broken so I do whatever works at this moment. With DD we never planned life around naps bc we knew she'd nap on the go. Only once she went to 1 nap a day (around 1) do we plan for her to be home at that time.

What do you look for in terms of sleepy cues? I've tried to do that and either I'm missing them or she just hates napping because I haven't been able to find that sweet spot where she'll fall asleep quickly. Maybe she's gotten used to sleeping in the carrier during the day so she wants that, idk.
My inlaws are here. I may or may not be drinking. My MIL didn't vote in this election. I'm hoping I can avoid bringing it up what an idiot she is.
I also stayed up till 1 am watching gilmore girls trying to finish before the new episodes are released. At the 3am feed I forgot to fasten the 2nd side of the diaper. As you can imagine, about an hour later all hell broke loose when she flooded her bed. I don't think I have ever done that. Just goes to show, 4 kids, and there are still new ways to screw up

DD rubs her eyes, gets fussy, and has a sleepy noise she makes. I think its an attempt to self soothe.

hummingbird125 oh yea, he has been in reflux meds since 4 weeks old. It definitely helps him but not with sleeping lol. Last night I kinda forced the second boob on him and got three 3-hour stretches so that was an improvement.
dc2london yes to teething cues and Sophie!! It cracks me up when we give the pacifier he immediately takes it out with his hands then proceeds to shove hands in mouth.

This might sound weird but the skin behind her eyebrows gets red. This has been the case with all 3 of mine--when they get tired, their eyebrows get red

I was on Zoloft for a bit a few years ago after I had B and it gave me esophogeal spasms that wearing tearing me apart. They were so bad and they didn't know that's what was causing it at first. I had to have an endoscopy done and all. Then I realized they happened 20 mins after I took the Zoloft every time.
Thanks all. DD went back to daycare today without any issue. We had the option to keep her home this week and not have to pay. I asked H if we could send DD still. I feel guilty, but I've been overwhelmed a lot and I'm having issues with my neck/shoulder which is making it hard to even pick DD up.
DD's cold is going away, but now H has the man cold.

My kids don't do sleepy cues. DD1 did not at all, literally at all. She went from quiet alert to overtired rage at the drop of a hat. DD2 yawned when tired, but also when waking up, so....DD3 is the same, although I think I saw a thousand mile stare once or twice. So basically not all kids do sleep cues. Also I swear the alert ones have a harder time finding that sweet spot because they can't easily fall asleep on their own but they get overstimulated by your help. But I promise it improves.
As far as getting stuff done, when I only had one kid DH did the errands. He grocery shopped for the first six months at least - good thing he is better at spotting deals and being efficient than I am! Once I had multiple kids to juggle I did more just because we had to get out of the house and the little one's sleep schedule just has to deal. In fact I am currently having major issues because DD3 no longer naps on the go and preschool drop off/pick up are always right when her wake time is ending.
This stuff gets better once wake times get to 2 hours+, which is not far away at all. Before 5 months you'll be on a 3 nap schedule and once you are on a 2 nap schedule getting out gets easy - you can find 3 or 4 glorious hours of time!

So the 4 month sleep regression has arrived at the grateful household. DD3 gave me one teaser night of STTN (which still keeps her as my champion sleeper) but the past two nights have been miserable. 20 days until her 4 month well check when I can discuss with the pediatrician how to handle it unless it improves on it's own. Countdown initiated.
My kid is chomping on hands, but she seems to think having a toy anywhere near her mouth is super weird. She doesn't often manage to bring anything to her mouth on her own and if I place anything there she makes an "ick" face. It cracks me up.

We've begun out 11 hour drive to MI for the holiday. Hoping DD does her typical 4.5-5 hour stretch now so that we can put a dent in the trip before having to stop a bunch!

shanny thanks for explaining your sleep plan with the "no feed zone". We are struggling with sleep lately. DD used to only wake up once a night and for the past week it's gotten increasingly worse, even with naps. My H also always goes to get the baby at night so we are going to give your plan a shot!
DD has been chewing away on things lately too, mostly the edge of her sleep sack and bibs.
The doctor briefly mentioned that she talks about starting food at the 4 month appt, but because DD is a preemie she doesn't think we have to worry about food until 6 months. She said to "look for the cues" though and to offer cereal when we are ready. What are the cues for wanting food?
