tbirdlove it gets easier the more you do it for sure. Lo is totally chill unless he's tired or hungry. But ds1 is not fun to shop with, he tries to lose me all.the.time.
Guys help me. Jeans in church are a no-no right? We have a 3 year memorial service to go to this Sunday for my H's grandfather and I don't own anything that isn't denim that actually fits. I guess I'll have to buy something.

Our church has gone super casual (which used to bum me out because where do I wear my nice clothes? Then I had a kid and dont care anymore) but for a memorial service i probably wouldn't wear denim unfortunately :/

That's what I thought. They do it during the regular service but it's a Greek Orthodox Church and everyone is always dressed to the nines.
DH and DS are visiting his parents. I had some work to do, but now I want my baby. I'm debating a mall run to get a new coat before they get home, but I really don't want to deal with people or spend money.
dandb925, google tells me it's a state-by-state basis as to whether or not weight is required. It's self disclosed, so I assume most people lie.
It also tells me that DMV asks for it in every state, but doesn't display it in every state. So it's available to the officer giving you a ticket when he runs your license, but not the doorman carding you at the bar.
gahorseygalteraiinellesea - he's great at going to visit friends/family, great at the zoo, ok at the grocery store. I think it's when we're not moving that he gets bored and frustrated. Heaven forbid I should take too long looking at something.
I tried to time it for his nap yesterday. Fed him, packed him in his seat and away we went! He fell asleep in the car as planned.... But woke up basically walking into the store. So between being bored, being tired and everything not being about him (!) he got irritated.
I still take him most places just in his car seat/stroller combo. I'm thinking maybe it's time to try the actual stroller itself. Maybe he'll like that more if he can look around. Not even sure how well he'll be able to sit in there yet as I haven't even tried it yet.
As always - trial and error!
As for fussing/crying in public - it stresses me out because I worry that we could be just moments away from some sort of meltdown. For which I would much rather just be at home. Probably something I'll just need to get over... But I'm that jerk who doesn't like to hear kids crying in public............!!! I don't even want to listen to my OWN kid crying in public! Haha!
tbirdlove definitely try him in the stroller without the car seat. Just looking around is entertaining enough for my lo. When he is awake in the car seat I hang a toy for him to play with. That usually occupies him for awhile.

AF might be a false alarm. Nothing more since this AM. Or it's slowly gearing up and will slap me tomorrow!
It's horrible that I can't even remember where I packed them away. Oh dear. It's okay because there are a pair of pants I was eyeing and now I have a reason to buy them.
