My appointment was with the doctor (most others will be with CNP). He looked at my chart from my last delivery and said he's known in the community for natural births and VBAC, but he wants me to feel empowered to ask for whatever type of delivery I want, and since the first was so difficult, if I wanted to schedule a C-section he would support it. I was shocked. That hadn't even crossed my mind. My recovery was rough, but C-section recovery isn't exactly a walk in the park.
We got to do a quick ultrasound and saw/heard the heartbeat. He said it looked a little small for 8 weeks, which I already knew, so I'm going back for a dating ultrasound in 2 weeks. Then he gave me a shit load of PNV samples.

Wow! I would never have expected that from what I've heard about him! I'm actually super impressed.

Would you mind if I share that with the admins of the VBAC group? They're big on finding providers that are VBAC friendly, but not anti CS at all costs. I would PM it to them without any identifying info about you. I know that's weird and so I understand if you'd rather I didn't.

No I don't mind at all. I love Dr. B. He also said he will do a VBAC for someone who has had up to 3 C-sections already.
I remember being surprised last time when at the end of my pregnancy he could see how miserable I was and said if I wanted to be induced all I had to do was ask. He's just zero judgement.

Thank you for indulging my weird-ness! I might have to consider him for my next pregnancy. I can't make up my mind, so fortunately we have time.
So we closed on the old house today. The people who bought it are great. They are like a 50s-ish couple with adult children and little grandchildren. They said they already met our next door neighbor and love him and he already invited them to the holiday party. I'm so so so happy that they will fit in with the neighborhood.
Actually they said they had made an offer on another house, but when our house went on the market they drove by earlier in the day, looked at the yard and fell in love with it. Neighbor Bill happened to be outside and talked to them, told them it was nice on the inside and what a great neighborhood it is, so they immediately withdrew their offer on the other house and knew they wanted to make an offer on ours before they even saw the inside. I told H we need to get a thank you gift for Bill. I can't believe we got so lucky.

I had second degree tears and stitches with both of my births and they were really nbd. The clot and the aftercramps and hemis were the worst part and those would have been the same whether it was a cs or vag. But I have a friend that had 3rd or 4th degree rearing and she couldn't sit for a while and had a terrible time recovering and her doc had said something similar to her- that her skin down there just was prone to tearing in all different places and she would offer a cs.
