Is this a guy move? MH tries to act like bottle feeding a baby is SO hard and always tries to quit halfway through. No dude, you're off from work for a reason and that's to help with the babies.
I have a lot of feelings about MH lately. I'll just chalk it up to postpartum hormones.
It's not just you lady. DH mentioned about me always getting up in the night to take care of the baby because "he needs his sleep because he has a dangerous job". Ummm, ok but that's not fair for me to be the only one up all the time. Yes I get a nice long mat leave, but I will have to go back eventually. We'll see what happens when the baby is here. But it's not like this kid wasn't heavily planned.
Hoping it's all just an adjustment period
Not sure what your husband does but with DS I pointed out to DH that if he made a mistake at work because of sleep deprivation someone might lose millions of dollars but if I made a mistake at home because of sleep deprivation our kid could get seriously hurt (or worse). I don't say this to be scary but staying at home with a newborn is a lot of responsibility!
I'm up too. Having a weird holiday break. My parents and grandmother left, but we found out on Friday night that a good friend of ours had died unexpectedly. I was in shock then, but it hit me Saturday morning. I spent the day watching Gilmore Girls and being sad/stressed. I also forgot to drink enough water, making myself dehydrated and landing us in L&D for fetal monitoring and fluid check because the baby wasn't moving enough. Got home around 12:30 am, exhausted. Now awake at 5 am. Ditto to littlelion's long day comment.
I had a rough night. Got up probably around 3 to go to the bathroom and had painful BH from then until I finally pulled myself out of bed around 7:30. They were almost constant for a while and wrapped all around my back and front.
Everything seems to have quieted down now, thankfully. It doesn't sound like the true contractions I'm expecting for labor, but damn, they hurt! I think maybe our walk was too much yesterday? Only 1.5 miles but I was hurting at the end.

I'm at the photography studio getting newborn pics done. I literally handed the babies to the photog and her assistant and went and got a coffee. They probably think I'm the worst. Ha

My kid just broke my glasses. Tore the left arm right off. I bought them over the summer and got a free pair which I chose as sunglasses. I taped the arm back on. These will last me until next year, don't care how silly I look.

I'm sorry, I can't let you wear taped glasses until next year. There's no way to repair?
requiressnacks - can't wait to see the pics!!!! And you're totally not alone in your feelings. I was super irritated with DH yesterday... he was holding her and not really even holding her head, so I said something and he's all "she's so strong-she doesn't need me to".... ok. She's 6 days old... I may have told him if he couldn't hold her correctly not to hold her at all. Lol. He doesn't much anyway bc he's mainly taking care of G right now since I'm having to feed baby a lot. And, how can you be BORED with two babies??? Eeks, bad thing for him to say I'm sure lol. Hang in there momma.
crimpgirl - DH has made that same comment before too... granted he works around power lines so I do get it, not something you care to hear when you're also exhausted.
Lucy -- hope everything's ok! My bp was high in general towards the end, but I ended up getting so nervous for the epidural since I didn't get one with G... it was over 200/100+.... 😳😳😳 luckily it went back down once I got the epidural... apparently they actually help with hbp
Thanks everyone. It was a shock, but also a shock to be in L&D talking about potentially delivering. Definitely a kick in the pants to finish packing the hospital bag and take care of myself. No more skipping out on meals and water. She needs to cook a little longer.

He broke the plastic...dh was looking for crazy glue. I wonder if I can buy the frame only and reuse the lenses...

We are so close to home...I can taste it...yet I am dreading it. I have to unpack this mfing car and put shit away at home. I also wanted to put up some Christmas decorations...we will see how that goes.
requiressnacks...OK I can't find the post about dh being bored!?! Wth. I need you to refrain from speaking for another..oh I don't know a year. Men...I am sorry. Babies are a full time job and with them comes putting others things to the side...like I dont know your boredom.
hmr11913 oh man...I could.see the horns coming on that one. Should we just support her head or act like we know more than the Drs. *side eye*
crimpgirl totally jealous of you getting.your tree ours will be probably not till next weekend or the one following. I need it to not dry out on me to quick. Dh is not a fan of having to get one.
littlelion man you are better than me...my hormones right now would would of been full meltdown. DD running around and me on the ground crying at my glasses. Lol

This weekend could not drag on longer.... I have 4 days until induction. We get admitted to the hospital Wednesday night. My mom flies in that day. I do have a NST and a Dr appointment tomorrow. And I "work" up until noon on Wednesday. I'm so big everything is hard - sleeping doesn't happen much and I'm a grouch. My DH is being great though he keeps asking if he can go get me something or make me something. I think he's getting really really excited to be a dad and I'm totally taking advantage of it.
I am watching Spring of Gilmore Girls right now and Rory just slept with a Wookie - #teamwookie LOL I don't know why, but the new shows are boring to me. I guess because you can't out do the original. And I'm having a baby for the first time, nothing is exciting but that.
I'm reading a good Nora Roberts Book to pass the time - Homeport - but I feel like I should be reading my baby books for the last few weeks and delivery. Ugh. I just want this kid now.

**FTM gross question alert**
DD is a pooping machine. Her butthole is really red and is starting to become an open sore. Beside diaper rash cream, is there anything I can do for her? It looks so painful 😖.

Okay what kind of diaper cream are you using? And the wipes. So DD has super sensitive skin and its usually requires pampers sensitive rinsed with water. Like throw the whole pack in a bowl and run water through it and squeeze and repeat. You could also use a water and wash cloth...or just sitting her in a very shallow thing of water. Next make sure she is totally dry before applying anything. DD can't do destin or any ointments. Only creams. You could try butt paste. If not the old school natural way is corn starch. It should help pull moisture and keep her dry till she can heal. Change every 1-2 hours. If you can just try swaddling her for 15-30 Mins to let the butt get air as well. But put her on something should she have an accident. You can try aquaphor or a&d. If you get a chance and don't mind take a pic and attach it. DD just has fought everything when it comes to diaper rash. Are you strictly bf?

Don't use regular wipes. Either get some water wipes, or make your own with cotton swabs and water-the alcohol in wipes makes it worse. I like triple paste. Also warm baths with a bit of baking soda helps.
I second triple paste- it's crazy $$$ for a small container of it but by far the best on the market.

Thanks ladies! We've been using Boudreaux butt paste and pampers sensitive wipes. I think part of the problem is that she poops like 8 times per day- basically with every feeding. (She's 50% formula/50% BM)
We are going to do a bath tonight and I'll let her air dry.
I'll have to get the triple paste. I feel so bad for her!
requiressnacks We've always just used A&D when g has a red bum... but I also second the baking soda in her bath water. Poor little peanut. G had a VERY red vaginal area once and it was terrible... we ended up using a foot fungal cream (but I'd def ask your ped before you'd use that) and it cleared up in a day. I hope she feels better! Nadia is pooping 5-6x a day also... so I feel ya!

I'm cranky and I've been snapping at dh and ds. We're out at dh's cousins' house and I want to leave before I start crying for being short-tempered for no reason (aka bitchy).
requiressnacks I love you went for coffee!!!! 3 hours sounds about right to me. Our photographer said it can take up to 4 hours! And we'll only have 1 to shoot
Wow! I had no clue it would be that long. It was 2 feedings worth!
