We had a busy day yesterday of swim class (we're done til January!) and then our godsons birthday party in the evening. It was awful. We dealt with rude acquaintances, a packed tiny apartment and hot dogs for dinner. (Hubby is vegetarian and I hate hot dogs) we don't expect gourmet we were just bummed it was hot dogs of all things. Today I am desperate for grocery shopping. I need to hit Costco but I'm terrified of it so close to holidays.
Married 10/10/10! TTC Baby #1 since April 2014 BFP Oct 16 - EP terminated Nov 6 2014 Off the Bench January 2015! BFP #2 June 1 2015 - EDD Feb 12 2016! Baby Boy born 15th February 2016!
Last night my parents took both the kids for a sleep over and today H left around 8 for the Raven's game. I'm by myself. In my house. Without anything that I have to do. I was going to go to church but decided God would understand the circumstances. All our decorating is done so I'm going to take all this alone time to work on some crafts I'm making for Christmas presents.

This is when I wish all stores did online ordering and you can just drive by to pick it up when it's ready. The market is there they just need to figure it out.

I literally need 2 things from there. I think I'll brace myself and just do it, in and out.

And now I feel like I'm getting a cold, and maybe a fever. I don't get sick. What is this bullshit?
You now have your very own germ factory to aid in your illnesses! Congratulations!
Indeed. Boo.
On a random note, anybody else get weirded out by other people kissing your baby? Grandparents, whatever. But other random family and friends, keep your lips off my child.

Yeah, it's not my favorite. I also don't prefer anyone but me and DH kiss my kids on the lips/mouth.
I had to check cause I couldn't remember, but no I never updated today. This morning I got a roast in the crockpot, too bad I can't eat it until tomorrow I am at work and am hoping for lots of patients.

We don't even kiss him on the mouth ourselves. So that's a hard no for anybody else.
Now that thanksgiving is over, it's time to make the house look like Christmas. I need to go back and find that thread (I think on fb) about everyone's plans for the tree. I have no idea how to handle a tree with a baby.

Your IG post looks like Christmas threw up on your house already.

Which post? Did I miss one?? I need Christmas decor ideas, haha. Now that we are in our own house for the first holiday season, I'm realizing how totally unprepared to decorate i really am... hello Christmas Tree Shops! (Are those just a New England thing?)

We had a busy weekend so I haven't been around a lot.
I brought the car in for servicing sans kiddos Saturday morning. I treated myself to a chai latte. Except for nursing babies DH did everything to get the kids up and ready and was relatively productive to boot. I love it!
I stopped and picked up my dad's gift then went home to bake his cake. We had friends from out of town stop by for a quick visit (they also let us know they are expecting, eek) and then we spent the evening out at a Christmas parade. Then I was up to 2 am decorating the cake. I'm super happy with how it turned out and it was delicious to boot:
Then today we spent the first half of the day at my Mom's visiting with my cousin who's in town from Alberta and then we spent the evening celebrating with my Dad. I need a weekend after my weekend!

I wonder if you're thinking of someone else. I haven't done anything Christmas yet. We just got home from the road trip.

are you sure? It was a pic of your DH hugging the dog in front of a tree. I saw the picture and immediately thought "man, she works fast". Now I'm curious and I'm going to go looking for it.
I'm officially losing it. tkford216 it was totally someone else, but their pic must have been right after I looked at the pic of you and B so I guess my brain thought it was yours.
We made it home, thankfully. Took us 2.5 hours to get there, totally normal conditions. Took us over 5 hours to get home. We had to drive about 40 mph the entire way home. It fully rained and snowed while we were in the concert so we flat out started out on fully snow covered roads, and pitch black darkness of course. We got home at 4:15am. 😴😴😴😴
The concert was awesome though! We saw Young MC, Color Me Bad, Coolio, Tone Loc, Salt n Pepa, and Vanilla Ice.
Color Me Bad, Tone Loc, and Salt n Pepa were my favorite acts. But they all did awesome, still very well at dancing and performing after all these years! Lol

Don't over think the tree thing. We have 3 kids and have never adjusted our decorating to them and they've all left it alone. DD is by far our most curious baby and the tree has been up a week and she doesn't bother it. I told her no no like twice right away when it was up and nothing since. I even have ornaments on the bottom branches.

Ugh, that sucks. Did you still work all day today?

I don't work Mondays, but I did have H bring the kids to daycare. I got up to feed DD and send them on their way and then went back to bed, but only got maybe 2 more hours in. So maybe 4 hours total? I did do some catching up on paperwork at home so at least it wasn't a total waste of a day.

I do not trust my kid to leave it alone, lol. He needs to touch *everything.*

I just kept the bottom reachable part ornament free during DS's first couple years. He touched it a bit but he wasn't grabbing or pulling. He may not like the feel of the needles anyway.
