Stayed up to late, but I got it Christmas cards ordered! I used Pamper's points to get 75 free cards for free! Since I didn't have a Shutter fly account I also got 24 address labels and a magnet (which I did a set of 4) for free! I paid $16 shipping for all of that. So glad that's checked off my list. Now I'll only have to address then when they arrive...
I have my thyroid ultrasound today. I'm nervous. But w slept in until after 7 which is great! He woke up a few times before that but went down or never made noise (the monitor went on because he started walking around). H didn't get up for work today. He's usually gone by 720 and he didn't wake up until I went and got him after 7. It's a mixed bag kind of day.
packmomma, how is this the first I'm hearing about your ultrasound! are you nervous about results or just everything? the ultrasound is nothing. why are you testing? (I'm being all nosy because, hi, we're life twins, so if you don't want to share you don't have too). I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
@janetheconquerer, I'm so impressed with your diet. I could cut back on all those things, but would have a really hard time eliminating them altogether. Cheese and chocolate are LIFE.
I'm working half a day today, then getting my hair done this afternoon. Thinking of grabbing lunch out by myself before hand. Would red and purple hair be too unprofessional for a lawyer?
Also, tomorrow I am meeting thisbitch from parenting for dinner— I'm so nervous!
She's in NY?!
Visiting for the weekend— her flight was delayed last night so we didn't end up getting dinner, but we are meeting up this afternoon! We both did the Whole Life Challenge in Sept/ Oct, which is how the plans were formed.
@janetheconquerer it's to check on the growth of the thyroid nodules I have. I'm nervous for a lot of reasons. 1)My mom has Graves disease and thyroid issues run in my family. 2) the nodules were larger 6 months ago than they were a few years ago so they are growing. 3)my neck is looking more swollen than usual. 4) w is going with me and I'm afraid he's going to have a meltdown. Really I know it's no big deal. Even if it's something to worry about I know I can deal with it. My family had dealt with this stuff before. But the unknown is scary.
We have to get our Christmas photos done too! What are people using for their cards? Last year we did formal portraits but I don't feel up to that right now. We just have too much going on.
@janetheconquerer, that diet sounds rough— do you have a spiralizer? Squash/ zucchini "pasta" can be pretty good.
Are corn tortillas out? If not, you could do tacos with soft corn tortillas. Bake some, or get dehydrated beet chips for salsa and guacamole. Or, you could do Mexican style lettuce wraps. Or a quinoa taco bowl or salad.
joi922 , I love it! My answer will depend on what type of lawyering you do and how often you need to deal with the public.
Medical malpractice defense for the federal government. I don't interact with the clients much, but admit that the other attorneys in my office are pretty conservative.
I found pants that fit, surprisingly easy. I got two pair! I also got two new work shirts, I'm actually excited to get dressed up each day top go to work again.
I'm drowning in projects with problems. drowning. it's like every project keeps blowing up with problems and i'm the one responsible for solving them. 1 after the other. all week long.

The ultrasound was fine. My thyroid was tender which sucked but w sat in his stroller (in a dark room no less) basically silent while the whole thing happened. He just chilled eating a pouch. I got a message from my dr but I can't access the stupid login and they're not open until monday. Taking bets on whether immediate contact is good or bad.
