I went to my bffs baby shower two weekends ago. I have a thing about pregnant people because I missed out on the entire thrid tri. She is 33 weeks and huge and it was really hard to be around her because I never made it that far. DD was a month old at my baby shower. I also have a visceral rage reaction to preggos who bitch about wanting the baby to come early because they are tired of being fat or whatever.
I generally try to avoid situations In which there will be pregnant people. I try not to shop at babies r us. I'm In therapy. I take medication.
GTKY: I really need to make a solid routine and stick to it. I try to meditate, but I need a "cool down" from my day to set the mood for sleep.
Diagnosis/personal issue or struggle: Anxiety/PTSD
Recent related difficulties/vent: The home nurse mentioned a possible connection between Autism and NICU stays so that is in the back of my mind now. She also said I may have ADHD or OCD. She was trying to be helpful. I've been using her like a counselor because she is neutral and will listen to me. I just need to take what she says with a grain of salt. AG and I really like her. It isn't easy having a stranger come into your home.
What you're working on/trying to do/would like to do to improve your recent difficulties/mental health: Making lists, organizing, singing, starting a charity to work with Ronald McDonald House Charities.
GTKY: What is your routine for winding down at night? TCF, taking either a soak or a shower, and reading.
