Good Lord. A has a bad cold. She is miserable and snotty and won't sleep. Last night she screamed almost the entire night unless she was being held. She napped well today, so I was hoping tonight would be better, but she's already been up screaming. I Nosefridaed her and gave her some Motrin in case something is hurting - much to her dismay. Now H is trying to get her down again after I was the villain. We all need sleep, dammit! Go away, stupid cold!
I wish good sleep for all our babies and toddlers tonight!

I'm in the exact same situation. It totally sucks! I wonder if we're teething?! Ugh. Sending sleepy vibes!
Hope you had a decent night RNCrystal! We only had that one bought of screaming early on in the night. H sat with her until she fell into a deep sleep.
Happy Anniversary, abbeyd! I wouldn't mind if you AW'd wedding pics on the private board ;-)
@pennygirl2013, how's the ute? Did you get your appt moved up?
I almost cut a bitch today at target. They only had a few checkouts open so lines were a bit long. I was buying a bunch of formula because they have their $25 gift card deal running. I had some manufacturers coupons and my formula checks and they had a little issue running the coupons that delayed the transaction for a second.
The lady behind me is on her phone complaining to someone about the lines being long and then I hear her say "and this girl in front of me has a coupon for everything she's buying". I look straight at her like:
Hell yes I have coupons for my formula! That shit is expensive. And it's not my fault that target only has three lines open.
But instead of saying what I wanted to say, I just turned to her when I was done and said "I'm so sorry for your wait" with a sweet smile and left.
Ugh buttercup I remember that stage - getting our house ready to go on the market and then for inspection was so stressful and time consuming! Sounds like you are being very proactive which is good and hopefully will mean the buyers don't have any repair requests.
Ugh. I have a terrible clogged duct and nothing is working. Heat, massage, nursing, pumping. Someone on a babycenter thread said their husband fixes theirs and another woman said she sucks her own clogs out. Ummm.....what??
Also, M just cut his top two teeth. I've been so focused on them coming in that I completely missed that he cut a tooth on the bottom. It's way further in than the others. Woops.

Well I've been MIA since the quakes.
It was a full on and nervous few weeks after and then we got a diagnosis for my FIL of Alzheimer's and dementia. Have been trying to work through that with him and SIL while also trying to get on top of everything that got put aside the weeks earlier.
Also had LO cut 4 teeth at once so we had nearly a month of misery with a kid who grizzled constantly and wouldn't be put down. Exhausting!
Just about to go back through and see what everyone's up to. Have missed this place and you ladies!
Good to see you back craftcrazymama! I'm sorry about the Alzheimers diagnosis. It is a heartbreaking disease for everyone involved. My thoughts are with you and your family.
This plugged duct is kicking my ass. M is on a nursing strike and the pump can't even get a drop out. DH decided to take the day off so I could relax and rest, which is amazing. Except when I woke up, I found out H had eaten part of a plastic straw from a drinking cup. Apparently moms dont get to relax.
Hi craftcrazymama! We've missed you. So sorry to hear about FIL's diagnosis. Was this something that you guys have been fearing? How's H taking it?
scotty138, sorry about the clogged duct. Those are miserable. I almost threw up when you said it was suggested that you suck it out yourself. I hope you can get some relief a different way!
Sorry about the clogged duct, scotty138, there are a lot of recommendations on KellyMom. One gIRL on my old BMB had a bad one that she got out by using a vibrating toothbrush on it in the hot shower.
I am so tired. DS is all stuffed up, and has his first tooth about to push through (big white bulge on his gum). All that is making for even worse sleep than normal. He is also on the verge of crawling, so when he rolls onto his tummy at night he automatically gets up on all 4s and starts rocking, still mostly asleep. Crazy kiddo.
M finally got the clogged duct cleared but it's still tender.
graybaby I feel the same way about sleep. We were so spoiled with H, who STTN starting around 4 months. We are lucky to get a 4-5 hour stretch from M and that's usually 7-11ish. Since I'm not ready to sleep at 7 we are usually up within an hour and then every 2-3 hours. Exhausting. Sending sleepy thoughts your way.

Man, I haven't checked random in a while. Glad to see you back, but sorry to hear about your fil. Several of my relatives have had Alzheimer's and it is rough.
My lo just finished cutting a tooth - it was miserable. I can't imagine her getting four at once!

We're in the same situation with lo. She sleeps 6-11 every night and then is up every 2 hours after that. I'm so exhausted and miserable! I will never sleep again!
S is shaking his head no. Is anyone else doing this? They said at daycare he is on the lower side of physical milestones (pulling up, sitting up, etc), but cognitively is on the higher side.
My lo loves to shake her head no. I was a little freaked out by it at first but now I'm not worried. Im not really sure if it's her actually saying no, or a strange repetitive behavior. It just seems to be something she likes doing when she's happy/excited, bit she does it a lot. I'll probably bring it up at her 9 month wellness check.

DS is the same, he is shaking his head no a lot, but I think with him it is just some strange repetitive behavior. He also does it when he is happy/excited. He is doing great with clapping though!
M is starting to sign for milk. We are working on the sign for more. Has anyone else had any success with signing? I know we had a discussion about this a while back, but I can't remember what people were going to teach their LOs.

Is anyone elses baby saying "mama" yet? Lo calls mama when someone else is holding her and she wants me, and she has looked me straight in the face and said it too. She did the same thing for my husband when she wanted me. I think she thinks my boobs are mama :/
M was only up once last night!! We are putting the crib in H's room and trying that tonight. I feel like our toddler might sleep better knowing he has to be quiet for baby. Or it could go horribly wrong. Wish us luck!
We put the boys together last night and the toddler (who has needed us in the room to sleep) went to sleep on his own and slept 8-7. The baby had only 1 wake up in that time. Hopefully not a fluke, because I feel great today.
DD says mama, but doesn't associate it with me yet. My boys didn't start calling me mom until well over a year old. I was sad at the time but they've since made up for it by saying my name about a million times a day.
Gave baby peanut butter toast yesterday. I get so nervous, even though there are no allergies in the family. I'm happy to report that it went well. This is good because peanut butter and jelly is a daily menu item here.

I keep wanting to try this with eggs but I'm also so nervous.
Eggs are up next! I'm even more nervous for those than the pb. I'm making them for brunch right now. I might give her a tiny bite to see.
