I'm so annoyed. I wanted to nap but couldn't fall asleep. DS is going to wake up soon so I think I missed my window 😞
Trying to decide if after his nap I feel okay with taking him out grocery shopping and leaving D here with MH (assuming I feed her just before I leave of course). I haven't really had any time alone with him since she was born.
So for Sunday, I think we just have 6 people coming over after church in addition to DS, DH, and me.
The christening is at 1 so I figure we'll be here by 2, 2:15? It's not really lunchtime but I want to have something besides dessert. I'm planning to serve a barbecue chicken ring, a loaded potato dip with chips and veggies, chocolate chip cookies, and a banana split dump cake. And coffee. That's enough, right?

Sounds perfect. Count us in. That's 2 adults and 2 kids. See ya at 1.
M and I as well dashook, thanks! Maybe hangry can stop by with some of those desserts?

H watched Mia at home while I went to my OB appt yesterday morning and except for her bath last night she hasn't let me put her down since. 11.5 pounds gets really really heavy after awhile. I'm flattered and all, but an hour would be nice. Just one.
waitwhat the mystery chocolate looking thing is peanut butter Rice Krispies squares. What you can't see is a later of PB Rice Krispies under that later of hard chocolate. It literally melts in your mouth. But yes, tallblonde peanut butter blossoms are my favorite too.
Speaking of yesterday, for your amusement I will tell you how it went.
M stayed home because she threw up when I woke her up for school. It was my first time alone with both of them.
I caught MH's man cold & felt horrible.
The toilet overflowed.
The shelf in the laundry room collapsed & I learned that MH doesn't screw the lids on anything. About half a bottle of bubbles is in my washer. I'm scared to turn it on now.
M had diarrhea.
Do you want to come on Sunday too? I will make extra cookies for you.
waitwhatsophiegracehangry I know we're joking about visiting each other to eat each other's food but it makes me wish we really could get together! A N'16 potluck would have some pretty amazing selections.
6am I take the dog out while H is sleeping and the babies are juuuust about to get up. Dog wriggles out of collar and leash. Dog proceeds to act like a shit head and lead me on a wild goose chase through the neighborhood for 40 minutes. Did I mention it was about 20 degrees outside and I was not dressed properly bc I thought I'd be quick.
Babies have their pedi appt at 11.. Proceed to get them ready, in car seats, etc and Alec starts screaming on the way out the door. He shit himself. Like EPIC up-the-back shit.
Babies look great, that's awesome. But turns out Adeline does have reflux and is prescribed Zantac.
Get home and I suddenly don't feel well. Chill in my bones and oh so nauseous. But babies won't nap bc they're upset about their Hep B shots. Now Adeline's reflux starts up and she's screaming while trying to eat.
This coincides with mom getting violently ill with diarrhea and vomiting all over the place. Food poisoning maybe ??
So yeah, I had a great day (eye roll). Pass the wine and chocolate stuff that hangry made.
So...I just put Lilah down for some pre-bedtime tummy time and she's getting her head pretty high now. She's looking around and I'm like, way to go baby! And then she shifted her weight and rolled over. All the way. What?? So I put her back on her tummy and she rolled the other way! I mean, Lillian rolled over at 5 weeks, but with lots of struggling etc. This was like she just went hmm...I think I'll roll over at 4 weeks old.
ClassyMrsA oh my goodness! what superstar babies, rolling over so soon. Bradley took months and I was legit getting concerned; I think part of the delay was because his head was so huge 😜
kleigh wow, that does sound like an awful day. I hope you are feeling better soon and your H is taking good care of you in between tending to the twins
We got back a little while ago from dinner and looking at Christmas lights in St Augustine. It was really fun and a nice holiday outing. The restaurant had a huge deck with a fire pit so my dad, H and DS hung out there while Mom and I drank wine inside with DD.
DS crashed the minute we got home so I'm in the nursery with C hoping she'll follow his lead. 🙏🏼
The three week growth spurt can suck it! C has been on the boob for what feels like hours. I've been holding off on the pacifier but I'm might cave tonight if this keeps up.

buckyb I'm here in the 3 week growth spurt hell with you. O does take a pacifier and it has been great at times but he knows it's not a boob. It really only delays the inevitable lol.
I'm getting nervous for the growth spurt next week!
Mh made burgers and I did some online shopping. Picked out some stuff on sale at Athleta since sale stuff is 20% off. I got 2 skirts in tall that hopefully will hide my spider veins on my thighs next summer that my derm says won't go away without intervention. And some workout capris in anticipation of working out. I was going to get a nice zipup to wear on leave but the two I liked are sold out, womp womp.
And got a christmasy outfit for N at Target, hoping she fits in 3m outfit in a few weeks. I can't justify buying a newborn outfit when I know a growth spurt is coming.
kleigh, LT for hugs. I hope you're feeling better now.
So it turns out that what I thought was a blissful 6+ hour stretch of sleep last night was actually DH taking one for the team, as D was apparently really fussy for much of it, enough to wake up H (which is hard to do). It was just wanting to be held, not eat, though so he stuck with it.
Apparently tonight was similar (though the stretch was shorter). When I came down to relieve him and feed her, he offered to take her back again after she finished, but I declined. He keeps saying things about how I pushed these babies(DS included) out of my body and it's the least he can do.
Also I'm going to attempt to go back to bed now but expect I'll be up again shortly. She just did a really shitty job nursing and is now pretending to be deeply asleep, refusing to latch back on and do better. Sigh.
I foresee pumping and extra coffee in my future tomorrow morning.
dashook Lilah just had a pretty crappy nursing session too. Just one side and not for very long. I was staying up to see if she'd want the other side shortly after, but so far she's just being "asleep" and making random dinosaur noises. And Lillian scared the crap out of me. I'm sitting here and all of a sudden I hear a single cry from her room through the monitor. This could be a regular thing but a) it was so short lived I could see myself sleeping through it and b) I usually turn the sound off on the monitor since we can hear her anyway. So I went to investigate and now have a Lillian in my bed at 2:20am. She asked me to sleep on her floor, but I didn't want to fall asleep there and not hear the gruntasaurus when she wants to nurse again and obviously the floor sucks as a sleep surface.
ClassyMrsA aww poor Lillian! Hope she's at least back to sleep for you now. I'd take a hard pass on floor sleeping too.
So as predicted we were up again within an hour and ten. I slept maybe 15 minutes of that? She nursed better this time so I am really, really praying for even like 2 hours after this.

Huge hugs kleigh! Today can only get better, right??
ClassyMrsA Wow, I didn't know they could roll over so soon!
That's so awesome that your H is helping so much dashook!
H got up with C around 1:45 and I got woken up again around 3:30.. we're still trying to get him back to sleep. He made it to another bottle feeding. He's finally passed out in my arms though so hopefully I can put him down soon and go back to sleep.
Ughhhhh, not a great night. The big one woke up on 3 occasions needing one thing or another; his pillow, a hug etc. Es last wake up was at 330 and I put her down at 415. O was up again at 430 for the day. I made him stay in bed by himself until 530 but he was whining and crying the whole time. So I wasn't sleeping. I went into his bed from 530-6 and now we are on the couch with tv. I am tired. At least nap time will likely be early today. I'm counting down now.
LizInFL Oooh I wish I had the braveness to take these ones in the car for us to go look at Xmas lights, we have some really good displays around here that you can just drive past/through. I hope you guys had fun!!
To all the cluster feeders, I hope you and your titties get a break 😕 But bring on the baby growth !!
The dog is whining to go out. No b$tch, do you recall what you did to me yesterday, now you'll wait for the Mr to get up.
I feel sort of better but I'm terrified to eat anything, so Gatorade it is. The babies did well enough with sleep last night that I was able to get a collective 5-6 hours and that'll do but I see a nap in my future.
