I already gave up on the swaddle waitwhat. LO always managed to get one arm out of the sleep sack and would get super pissed. He always managed to get the arm out on the Velcro side and would scratch his poor hand.
LO actually had a good night after some marathon cluster feeding. DS1 woke up at 4:30 for the second day in a row. I'm not sure what his deal is. I tried to lay in his bed, let him lay in our bed, read a book...nothing. I'll also be counting down until nap hangry
So you people are saying I should ignore grunting? I've been picking her up to get her to calm down.
Google le pause or just the pause. It's definitely worth a read about it. Like all things baby it's one way to do things but I think it has some sound points. I didn't learn this was a thing until I was already doing it accidentally with DD (or I literally could not open my eyes to pick her up before she and I fell back asleep )
Sorry Thurs was a rough night I hope last night was better.

+1 to the grunting baby. He just did that to me now! He was just trying to fart so I left him alone until he actually sounded hungry. Then when I went to change him, he was farting again and giving me huge real smiles. Silly boy.
This kid is such a boy. He doesn't poop at night but every morning her grunts for at least 30 minutes doing some serious pooping, I already see this translating into bathroom time as a teen/adult.

I ignored/"slept" through almost 2 hours of this earlier. She definitely was still asleep and would settle herself every so often. Home girl is just a seriously obnoxious sleeper as it turns out.
waitwhat D tries to break the swaddle too and succeeds like 30% of the time.
I actually suspect that some of the grunting episodes are related to her trying to get her left arm out. But letting her get them out is worse because when she startles she wakes herself up and cries, as opposed to making noise but staying asleep.
I guess I could clarify. I don't jump every time she grunts. She is grunting in her chair right now actually. Overnight, when she is sound asleep in my arms, I put her down and she starts to grunt and never really settles. I pick her up to try to settle her again. That's usually when I resort to co sleeping. I can't sleep through it so that's why I pick her up. I haven't looked at le pause yet, but sounds interesting! Maybe could save me something.
