Our contractors just finished installing the recessed lighting and ceiling fan. Nursery is finished besides cleaning our stuff out of her closet. I'm so happy we went with these lights and fan!

I know this isn't in the nursery, but it's in the playroom which is a big work in progress right now. But I'm pretty dang proud of myself.
IKEA bookcase turned into toy storage with a bench cushion on top. I made the bench cushion with peg board, foam cushion, and fabric. Thanks Pinterest!

I have been dreaming of making one of these for years! But then I remember I'm not handy at all and move on..

Do you have a link on how to do this? This is amazing!

Mi nursery-sans decor. Changing table topped dresser is on opposite wall with blanket basket. I need better pics..but I got this cart from Target last week that I'm excited to stock with diapery stuff. I hate taking up the whole top drawer for diapers. Now I just need to assemble and come back with real pics! Oh and hang this one art print I have.
So far I have my crib set up, the glider, and the dresser. The walls are not going to be painted, so those are "done". And that's about it. I'm waiting for my curtains to be finished before I take pictures and I have a few things that I want to put on the walls. I think we're shopping next weekend for the rest of the decor and after my shower this weekend I'll have a few more things that I've been waiting for.

We put a ton of décor up last weekend. I have one last thing to hang on one wall and then I can share!
I also stumbled across this idea - save the sports page from the newspaper the day baby is born and frame it with a pennant on top. I have the pennant, just gotta wait for the newspaper.

ellabee, I want to make a mobile for baby 3 but I haven't been able to decide what to use for the top. What did you use?
Our nursery is storage still. Moving in and renos is hindering our progress. The room doesn't even have heat right now. Dd1 had a nursery by 30 weeks, DD2 was in our room until we moves and now shares a room with her sister. Baby 3 probably won't have a nursery for months. Progress will probably depend on how well they sleep. Dd1 was a loud sleeper so we kicked her out of our room at 4 months but DD2 was 11 months when she went to her sisters room. I plan to do a Harry Potter theme when we get to it. I have most of the decor: a plush owl, stuffed dragons, 4 frames I'm going to paint and add prints of the houses, a mobile of flying keys, I want to make a golden snitch night light too.
littleredfish it was a high gauge jewelry wire (20 maybe?). It's held together by hot glue. I had to be gentle with it because it deforms easily. If you're hanging something with more weight than paper (I used paint sample cards), I'd try something more heavy duty.

We aren't 100% finished. I still have to get a trash can, fix the curtain rod, and put sheets and covers on the crib and changing mat, but the walls are up!
Here's our baseball theme nursery!
Sorry if these are huge - mobile and all.
We covered his name since it's a surprise IRL. And one of his baby photos will go in the frame by the pennant pinwheels. And the big pennant will eventually be framed on top of the sports page from the day he's born.
ETA: We're installing ceiling fans in the spring. And I can't wait.
