Hi @janetheconquerer and everyone! I am sooooo not ready for the holidays. Still have so much shopping and crafting to do. Also, we may have found an apartment— beautiful space a few blocks from where we currently live. We wouldn't have to share a bedroom with Poppy! We submitted an application, and if all goes well, we'll have a Jan 15 move in date. So we've also been working on packing and purging.

Also, I've been majorly slacking on working out, but I just got a spot in the NYC half in March, so I'm going to use that as motivation to get running this winter.

@janetheconquerer I am totally not ready for the holidays! We are hoping to have the flooring done in the basement today so we can move all the stuff back in and get at the decorations. I am not feeling motivated as far as gifts go. I usually love the choosing gifts part of the holidays, but I feel like everyone I shop for has everything they could possibly need and I'm buying for the sake of buying (I keep picking up generic boxes of chocolates and gift cards). Sigh.
M is feeling a bit better but so full of snot and lots of coughing, usually at night. He at least has more energy and has been sleeping well.
Sorry @janetheconquerer that C is having a hard time MOTN. M still gets up at least once and has a bottle, which I want to stop (we have rare occasions of him actually sleeping through) but I'm sure it will eventually.

Color me impressed with best buy. I had to go exchange my new phone because it was defected. A was with me. She saw a dog stuffed animal from pets and asked me for it. I said no because it was $10 and christmas in 2 weeks. On our way out the security guard said i have something for you sweetie and I'm thinking a sticker. Nope, it's the expensive stuffed dog. He heard our conversation and asked the manager if he could give it to her. I hope he didnt think i couldnt afford it cause i can but oh well. She was really good in there and that was a very kind thing for him to do.
redandblue in honestly glad that we really limited gifts this year due to my unemployment. I think that's part of why I'm enjoying the holiday so much.
We had an impromptu play date with packmomma and W. I love that I don't worry what my house is like or that I want showered. She's the best kind of person to have over.

This weekend, Poppy started going pfffff when she doesn't like something. I sautéed spinach in garlic and added it to her mac and cheese, and she went pfffffff AND gave me a thumbs down sign! I couldn't help but crack up.
Mom rant: My mom had TSA pre-check, so she went through her own special security line at 5:30am this morning. When I was finally through security with C, the flight was boarding and I couldn't find my mom anywhere and she wasn't answering her phone. She boarded the plane without us. She said she thought we were already on. What?! Who does that when traveling with a toddler mom? Then when we got on the plane she immediately started complaining about how the TSA agents inspected her shoes. I snapped at her. I'm glad she had a good time, but if I'm going to pay for her travel next time, I'm sending her on a trip for fun by herself. She tried to help on this work trip but she just couldn't.
Hey guys. Long weekend with an intense kid. At home he didn't want anything to do with H and most of the time H was working on tile anyway. Hanging with m and ampaints was the highlight of our weekend! The tile has been laid too! It still needs to be sealed and grouted but it's all in place. This means I can schedule the carpet for next week (not this one but the one after)! I am so fucking excited!! I did some self care this weekend too (crocheted while cuddling with molly). Missed you guys!

I'd be pissed. I get that your mom had pre-check and you didn't, but couldn't she have come with you through the normal line so she could help you out with Poppy? And then why would she just disappear without you after going through security? Obviously you would take longer to go through the normal line than she would in pre-check so it only makes sense for her to wait for you on the other side. It's like she forgot that she was on this trip to help you.
I'm sorry the trip was so difficult and that Poppy wasn't comfortable with your mom. Abigail wants nothing to do with family members either. It's hard. I hope you were able to at least enjoy some time on the beach and take advantage of the more mild winter!
My time on here has felt so limited since Abigail is all but done with nursing. We had cut down to nursing at bedtime only a couple weeks ago and then last night I offered and she didn't seem to want to. Most of my TCF time has been when she's nursing or after the kids go to bed at night. I feel like I can barely keep up here now!
I have a crazy busy week coming up with too much to do and not enough time. On the plus side, I did get out for a run this afternoon, so that's good.

I'm laughing about this now, but I'm seriously dreading the day that my kid starts commenting on the food I give her, lol!
aydee, his ct scan showed enlarged lymph nodes. The scan was also from his neck to pelvis so at least we know his organs in that area aren't infected or have any masses or anything. He was sent for more blood work, which we are still waiting to hear about.

Awing part of my elf gift, because I'm excited about it and I'm pretty sure she doesn't post over here anymore. I made this little bitty apron for her daughter!
Also. We have 7 inches of snow on the ground and I remembered how much I dislike winter. Ugh
