DH got home late and came to bed at 12:30, so he's decided that he isn't parenting today. That's what he thinks...
B brought me her owl harness this morning and held out to me saying, "Boos!" She wanted me to nurse Hootie.
I've got steaks and am going to recreate our first anniversary meal. Back then, we were broke as hell but I made filet mignon with a compound butter, saffron risotto cakes, and a blood orange and fried goat cheese medallion salad with raspberry pavlova a for dessert. I doubt the pavlovas are going to happen, but I'm making the rest.
We took a family gym trip and C made us a Valentine in kids' care. Then my ILs stopped by to give C his V day gift. MIL is a teacher, so he gets books for every occasion. I am a total bookworm (DH is definitely not) so I love it.
Anyhow we're meeting up with my SIL for lunch and that's about it. We're going to settle in for this next storm and relax.
mellochello bedroom picnic? I did that once for DH and had candles everywhere. We had no pets and no babies, so I wasn't concerned with burning the place down.

I haven't been on here in a week and I feel so behind on what everyone is up to. After I got back from my conference, I was so busy at work and home that I felt like I never had time to get back on.
I worked out this morning for the first time in a long time. I feel amazing. I hate working out but love the good mood that it puts me in. I think I need to keep it up to keep myself from getting in a funk every so often.

I love the bedroom picnic idea but my DH would be pissed. He hates food in the bedroom. Even if it's for something fun.

We went to a movement and dance class with B. It was fun, but B was the only one wandering around the room while everyone else was dancing and playing with instruments. It's totally fine, I just don't have any experience with the non-busy body type kid. It was quite an experience.
The teacher told me that I could be a dance mom as early as September. I can't even imagine b in a ballet class this year. Time is going by way too fast!

Everything about this sounds absolutely delicious. I'm sure your husband will love the re-creation. Happy cooking!
@mothereffer--I love shoe shopping! What are you looking for today?
I just saw a sign that was shaming a married officer for cheating and leaving his 6 kids. I couldn't get close enough at the intersection but I'm altering my way home and will take a pic if I can.
finnaroo - I'd totally do the same. That is something to see.
I agree, Cherhorowitz your night sounds amazing. We did sushi for lunch so our evening will be steak and wine, probably followed by brownies. And not leaving the house because, SNOW.

dinner twins! we got filet mignon and I've never made it before, but figure I can only mess that up so much. No snow but supposedly going to be the coldest day of the winter, so staying in.
I got what I wanted for V day...DH let me join Costco and I finally got my dyson! Granted he was a bit of a grump about suburban torture, but he didn't trust me going alone.
We took A to the arboretum this morning and he loved it. We saw one plant with a bunch of little green flower buds and he started yelling, "Peas! Peas!"
I'm still sick so Pete took A to his parents for the afternoon so I can rest. Sinny and I are snuggling in bed. I don't know what we'll have for dinner but we aren't going out and I am not cooking. Pho sounds good. Maybe Chinese.
@mx2 That is so cute. She'll have a blast with that.
rebeccag428 How do you have no A/C? I would die. It's supposed to be in the 90's next week.
My husband will finally be home next Saturday- so no Valentine's fun for me! However he did continue his Valentine's Day tradition of doing absolutely nothing for me. Lol. And vice versa.
I hope everyone with & without plans has a fun day/evening!! Otherwise... Time to pop bottles and make your own fun like me

I haven't had a chance to read the threads. My new iPhone 6 got wet last night. M's sippy cup leaked on it in the diaper bag. I didn't get the apple care bc I had to get my phone bc my old one was stolen and I couldn't afford it. I knew I had 30 days to get it. I forgot. Phone in rice all night and most of today. Turned it on and it wouldn't work. It thought the headphones were connected. I was so sad. Took it to the genius bar and they just gave me a new phone!!! Happy Valentine's Day to me!!! Also, I cut off almost 10 inches off my hair without telling DH. He HATES it and I LOVE it so screw him!! I hope everyone else is having a nice day. I'll go back and read now....
