Happy weekend! O's finishing up his breakfast. His nose is running like a faucet...again. This makes 3 colds in 4 weeks. And I've caught the other 2 from him so far. Fx I don't get this one.
We're going to a Christmas party tonight and that's it. Well, church tomorrow but aside from those things we're plan free!!
There are currently 20+ packages chilling in my craft room/Santa's workshop. H promised to keep me company while I wrap presents during O's nap today. He's a terrible wrapping partner. His ADHD comes out full force during wrapping sessions. It's something I know and accept about him but that doesn't mean I don't want it to change.
Totally random-we got rid of our cable this week. H found out about a cable equivalent through our Playstation4 for $80 less/month than what we were paying. I think we are now paying $35/month. It runs live TV just like cable. It has every channel we watched and can record as many things as I want. I'm going to guess that bad storms don't mess it up like they did our satellite. H has been having to call our cable company every 2 months because they added channels when we said not to then would charge us for them. Also, every MMCH on Demand all day, every day. So much Mickey. O loves it.

We're sick here. Poor Jazz has been sick on and off for 2 weeks now. Doctor said she's run through 2 viruses and is now on a completely separate 3rd one. Ive caught the past 2. Not feeling awesome about her missing 4 days of her first 2 weeks of daycare, but meh, tis the season I guess.
So yea, that was a downer lol. We're being as lazy as possible just hoping to be all better by monday! Anxious to meet my new niece which we obvs cant do with the sickies!
We cut cable almost two years ago, jessila. We use my mom's login and pay for Netflix & Hulu & Amazon prime & we have everything available!
Hope you all feel better, periwinkledaydreams! There's a nasty stomach bug going around and I feel like it's a ticking time bomb.
& morning! We're going to see Santa this morning since it was already paid for. I think if maybe we're all in the Santa picture and LO isn't actually sitting on his lap it might not be a disaster?

I was going to go to a holiday mart today, instead I'm making my sure my house is all cleaned up so when we inevitably get this nasty bug, it'll be easy to disinfect the house. I'm super anxious about this stomach bug :-|

Happy Saturday y'all!
We've got our annual Christmas 5k this morning. I've been doing it every year since 2010, so the kids have done it every year they've been alive. I decorated their wagon last night. We'll go and decorate cookies, do crafts, and walk the race.
Then we're going to the beach to go ice skating and drink cocoa.

(Aside from the running part) It's like a magical Christmas day!!! Have fun!

It's Christmas Cookie Baking Day! My mom, aunt, and grandma will be over soon to back our traditional cookies and then some new recipes too.
Headed to a "holiday market" at a friends house later, She's having all kinds of consultants over for an open house. LLR, scentsy, Norwex, perfectly posh, tastefully simple, pampered chef, and a local lady who paints wooden signs. I'm going mostly for the wine and kid free time, but will buy holiday leggings if there are any:)

You guys it's been hours and this is still, omg I will laugh always
So my ILs stopped by quick on their way through town yesterday and dropped off some inflatables they thought the kids would enjoy. They also knew they were pretty big and throught they were being funny.
Thing is, THEY didn't even know how big they were. Like they were laughing at my description of everything texting them before they even saw them.
Let me introduce you to, monsto reindeer. **poof**
Like WTAF look at our garage sliding doors! The girl across the street from us has a little 2-3 foot tall blow up penguin who saw H setting up the dinosaur and she was like "aw he makes my penguin so little!" And THEN he took the reindeer out and that frikken thing just kept inflating and inflating.
So. This is our Christmas decor now 😂
ETA it's been a solid -20 to -40 all week, our lack of snow is odd too. I have more fabric than snow in my front yard.

In regularity scheduled news, this week we've all been hit and I think recovered from the stomach bug, but DD was pretty warm last night/this morning and DS has a steady cough. 'Tis the season, they don't *seem* too sick otherwise so I'll just keep going with "if we're gonna get it get it over with now" mantra because Christmas and our trip is fast approaching.
A couple of our best friends are bringing us out supper tonight and I'm really looking forward to spending some pre-holiday time with them too! They are the kind of friends that our kids call aunty and uncle and just good people

tiffbot officially wins the J15 holiday decorating competition. I love the giant inflatables.
We're Christmas cookie baking today. H's mom, grandma, and sister should get here in a couple hours and then the rest of the day will be baking, with a break for pizza. So obviously, one of our healthiest days of the year, eating-wise.

Twins! We needed up ordering pizza for lunch too:)

tiffbot, Those are amazing!! Haha. That reindeer is literally bigger than my yard.
So, this was not the plan, but this weekend we bought a house. Our dream house. We've been in the market for a couple of years and finally took the plunge. I'm soooo excited, but now I have to make my house showing-worthy, prepare for Christmas, and we go to Mexico on the 28th. It's going to be crazy busy for the next month or so!

Yay/boo
Yay: Typically at a 5k, LBB says he wants to run, and he does for like a quarter of a mile. Then he whines and complains while walks, or if we're doing it as a family, climbs on the back of the stroller (or for this race climbs in the wagon). Today he did the WHOLE race! He didn't even want to take walk breaks! I am so unbelievably proud of him. Typically it takes us over an hour. Today he did it in 47 minutes.
Boo: LBB is not a great ice skater. Today while I was on the ice with him, I spent the entire time supporting him so he stayed upright. Except once when I lost my balance keeping him from falling. I knew it was coming, so I pushed my feet out so I would land on my butt. Which I did. Hard. That was hours ago and my butt still hurts.
We went to a holiday party last night. The hostess insisted we could bring our kids but they were the only kids there. Surprisingly they mostly behaved despite the party going well past bedtime and were awake the whole time.
