I'm tired. I know that's nothing new in these parts. I ran a 5k yesterday & it was m-fing cold. It would've been worth it, but they ran out of hot chocolate! My friend had to remind me that it was for charity, so I whined for a minute & then we went & bought some at 7-11.
I supposedly have two preps today, but due to staff absences a lot of preps have been canceled & my principal would rather pay us for them than make them up. Ok, but back to positivity, no teaching after 5th period!! Woo!!
Sitting in the parking lot in denial that I have to go in to a meeting. New admin has added, no joke, at least 10 new meetings per month. I only have to go to 2 or 3 of them but I'm only here 2 days a week.
This week's lessons with my sped kiddos includes moving the parachute to Trepak from the Nutcrakcer. It's one of my favorite lessons of the whole year. I know there will be many smiles today!!
michyme123, can you call your doc to get the pill to skip it just for a month or two? I had to do that for my honeymoon (though I was already on the pill at that point). I feel your pain though, I have a similar cycle and it's the worst.
I'm waiting for my doctor right now. Note to self: scheduling your annual for first thing on a Monday is not the funnest way to start a week. On the plus side, I had time to detour for a Starbucks in my way and got my free reward drink. We got a ton of snow yesterday, so all the schools are closed, which led to light traffic, and the roads really aren't that bad. I am thankful for my SUV with AWD though.

My neighborhood was a sheet of ice this morning but main roads were clear so it only added and few extra minutes into my drive.
I have my McDonald's coke (nothing better!) and I'm about to make a list of the last things I need to get for Christmas shopping. Then maybe I'll actually start working;)
Morning! 1/2 day today to take DS to his psychologist appointment. Hoping for some guidance from her. Double star day at Starbucks today, so I shall reward myself later. Hoping for minimal tantrums today!
Happy Monday, just dropped DH off at DC and am making my lists of everything I still need to do before Christmas. Some errands later and then some cuddle time with L. Not much else going on today!

budders, glad your day is going better, hopefully your week follows suit. You deserve it!!!
Having a few friends and their kids coming over today, and giving hair cuts, and coloring(moms) hair today. Thinking about going out to breakfast with Jules.

It's a Sundayish Monday over here since I took the day off. BH has his 18 month appointment this morning and then our new fridge is being delivered this afternoon!
After it comes I'm going to pick up LBB from school, and DH from work, and we're going to the botanical gardens for the night.
It's finals week for H, so I got to sleep in this morning. Glorious!
LO is snotty (I think from her latest tooth cracking through) and the gym daycare won't take her, so I think we'll go to the library play room and maybe stop at target.
I found out I think H's parents want to come here for Christmas on the 22nd because we're on the way to their original home town where both their parents (H's grandparents) love and they want to go spend some time there over Christmas this year. It's pretty far away and since we are leaving right after Christmas they plan on just going. So we'll be hosting our first family Christmas and have our first Christmas with minimal travels to get everywhere! Crazy. I'm kind of excited because it makes things so convenient for us but its also a little weird thinking about not going to ILs this year!
Oh and a cute random I just thought of, I noticed DS's curtains weren't getting shut at night recently so I asked H about it (he usually does DS's good night routine, and it doesn't really matter because it's dark past 8am anyway) and he said DS told him he likes looking at the Christmas lights on our roof that he can see from his window to fall asleep now. Aw!
Lame michyme123! Oddly I just got mine this weekend too and I have pretty short cycles so according to FF it shouldn't be until the day we leave Hawaii that I get it again! Bah we go so soon!

Morning ladies. We had some...interesting(?)...developments happen over the weekend. I can't get into too many details just yet, but Readers Digest version is that my DH was approached by his boss and an investor, and essentially, it is starting to look more and more like there may be a very real and very lucrative job opportunity for DH coming up soon. But it is in Dallas, TX. Which is a very different plan than moving to KY like we've been talking about. And if it works out, it would mean moving in March or April most likely, so very quickly.
I don't know how I feel. We've been discussing moving to KY to be close to my family again. We don't know anyone in Dallas. His parents live in Austin, which is only 3 hours away (not necessarily a good thing either). I told him it would have to be a great and stable offer for me to consider packing up and moving 1/2 way across the country to an area where we know NOBODY. But I also know that if it is a good offer, this is what would make the most sense for our family.
So, it will be interesting to see how this all shakes out.
After a few weeks of 1 MOTN wake-up, Gianna STTN last night. It was hell getting her to sleep in the first place and I still woke up at 4:30, but it still felt good!
Dark and rainy Monday. Not in the mood for being at work today.
Today they start transitioning LO to the toddler room at daycare. They told H he is ready because he has been giving the infant teachers a lot of grief lately, and I believe it, such as throwing toys. Hopefully the toddler room will keep him better entertained and I know those teachers can really keep bad behavior in check.

holliberry28, on the pricey end, we really liked the Dyson heating fan, it didn't have blades and would turn on and off automatically to keep his room to a set temperature. We sadly don't have it anymore because H insisted on plugging it in across the hall from his room in our old house, and despite my repeated comments about the trip hazard, was pissed when I tripped over it MOTN and managed to screw up the power cord so it doesn't work anymore.

thanks erbear and jillywilly! I'll look into that one. I read reviews the more expensive climate control one was noisy, but if this one is simpler, hopefully that won't be a problem.

I didn't share this because by the time I found out most of y'all were in bed and it was supposed to end night. But it looks like it's still going. Old Navy pajamas are 6.75 right now. I got an additional 20% off last night and ended up spending $25 for 5 pairs of pajamas for my SIL's cousin, sisters, mom, and her sister's MIL.
I'm doing some cleaning/organizing and I just found an unused liquor store gift card in our closet from last year lol just checked the balance and we have $50 on there! We were just going to go buy some wine this weekend for a party we are hosting, so this will come in handy!
This really puts the $1 I found in a forgotten pocket of my purse to shame.
Advice please: we are doing a secret santa/grab bag type thing for our School Christmas party. It has to be a $20-25 unisex gift. DH keeps saying gift card, but I want to get an actual gift. What would you buy?

The day is nearly over but today consisted of working from home and then going out with DH, FIL and DD to return some work items. It just so happens they have a cute little duck park nearby so we took C to feed the ducks. I also went to the post office to get stamps and put my cards in the mail. Holy hell Batman! Bad idea!

Eta: oh & I need to hand it in by Wednesday
I don't know if they still have them, but years ago I did unisex slippers from Restoration Hardware as a secret santa gift.
Other ideas - Movie package with either a DVD or tickets and popcorn/candy. Smittens Coffee/Hot chocolate package with mugs Board game Something old school like an etch-a-sketch or light brite Save
