We have DS's 6 month appointment today. I'm scared because of how difficult the vaccines were for frecklesnbrains's DS. But interested to see how much he weighs.
ArgyleEnigma, DD did pretty well with her 6 month shots so there's hope. She was a little cranky for a few hours following the appointment, but by that evening she was fine. We gave her some Tylenol afterward as a precaution, so maybe that helped.

DD did better at her 6 month then her 4 month. I gave her some Tylenol the next day when she had a little fever, but for the most part she was her usual self. Hopefully it will go smoothly for you!
My baby is 7 months old today... like closer to a year then a just-born. It is crazy! How did this happen?! I also saw her stir on the monitor last night and then suck her thumb and go back to sleep (for a little stretch), so maybe starting to self-soothe?? Maybe??? Hopefully???
titania, 7 months?!?!? I'm not ready. I've been looking at a lot of C's old pictures lately, reminiscing about the beginning of summer when she first came home. The months are speeding by.
My DD had her 6 month shots today too, and her flu shot! So many at once, so sad, but she seems totally fine and is actually taking a good nap right now (now if only my toddler would do the same instead of jumping in his head yelling, "I'm having a dance party!!!!")
I really can't believe how fast the time is flying, either. I'm making a Shutterfly family yearbook and so I've ben going through all of the newborn pictures. It's hard to see the growth when you're living through it day to day, but looking back on those pictures of her SO tiny and thinking that was only 6 months ago....just crazy!

To clarify, 6 mo was only bad because 2 mo and 4 mo were totally uneventful so that's sort of what I was expecting. Glad your DS did well!

You all need to stop talking about how old these babies are. They were just born!
H has a man cold. Send help. I need him to rally enough by Wed to reinstall DD1's car seat (she had an accident in it last night on the way home from zoo lights so had to wash it). Heaven knows I have no idea how to get the stupid thing back in my car. (This may be one of those things I should probably learn).
Also I apparently need new black dress shoes. Mine have holes in then I guess
packerfan4life, hopefully he will be able to rally by Wednesday. Are you looking for flats or heels? I have black cole haan heels and they are expensive, but have lasted forever and are so super comfortable!

This week is crazy for me as I have a work trip tomorrow (flight leaves at 6:30am and gets back to our home airport at 9:30pm) and then Ds1s bday party at school is Thursday and All the ILs get here Friday after work. Then ds1s bday party is Saturday morning. It's going to be crazy and I'm stressing a bit. But he's going to love it. We have 13 kids going and it's his first bday party at a place. We've only done family parties until now but 5 is a big one!
I feel so much more relaxed this week than last, and I love it. The only pressing thing on my agenda is to do Christmas cards. I would like them mailed by Friday. I'm hoping to get them made today/tomorrow.
We're battling a cold here. The kids are on the upswing now so at least I don't need to torture them with the nosefrida anymore. My throat is still sore. Blah.
Well that was a shitty night of sleep. And no one even needed fed. L was just a grumpy beast and was up 8+ times crying about her pacifier. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt on this one since she's still stuffy, but damn girl. Get it together. And every time I got out of bed, the dog encroached on my side, so it wasn't even comfortable when I was able to be in bed! Blah.
At least they served us hot breakfast at work this morning! Yay for end of the year budget usage! And I have a chair massage this afternoon...if I can stay awake.

Colds are the worst Poor littles and You! Enjoy your chair massage!

I just got the first "shut up" from my almost 5 yo. He's in a big timeout. He's sobbing, sorry, needs cuddles, is hungry, needs brother, etc. poor guy is having a tough night.

I am definitely a flats person! Bonus of being 5'9" I never have to wear heels (except of course for my friend's wedding. Because she's 4'11" and wanted her bridesmaids in heels smh)

ha, I had the same experience! I'm a flats person by far. 5'8". My sub-5 ft friend also wanted us in heels. Oh how I towered.
This baby of mine is such a light sleeper. Before 3.5 months he was fine, up every 2-4 hours but still fine. Now, holy moly. I really hope this sleep regression isn't permanent! And I hope I don't anger the sleep gods by writing this!!! ***Knocking on all wood ***
Oh man. Sorry about the sleep GOmamab15! Hopefully it gets back on track.
I think G is finally coming out of his growth spurt. He slept last night...hallelujah! L, however, was pretty grumpy. I find this morning that she had pooped. Freaking MOTY here. She never poops overnight so I just kept popping her pacifier back in and shushing her. Ugh.
Still working through this cold. I'm trying to work but I'm insanely tired from this mix of crap sleep/mucinex/ibuprofen. Is it time to go home yet?!
packerfan4life , I still do not know how to install a car seat or set up a pack n play, almost 3 years into parenting. NO IDEA. I am sure they are simple, too!
manybellsdown, DD is the same way-she ABSOLUTELY loses her mind if anyone gets close to her nose-and she has constant snot (literally snot bubbles) the past few days. She acts like she's being tortured and acts hysterical when anyone tries to wipe her nose.

Haha that's like my sister! I made her wear heels in my wedding and I'm not sorry! She looked amazing. 😊
