Anyone want to throw some stocking stuffer ideas at me for DH and Delaney? Delaney is 17 months and so far has rubber ducks in her stocking. DH has everything he could need and want, so far I have hot cocoa packets and I'm getting some heavy duty hand cream for him since he's a mailman and his hands are getting destroyed.
DH and I are doing stockings only for each other this year so we gave each other "wish lists" for small things we want. I got him a small card game, a potato masher, a garlic press, a big bag of Albanese gummy bears and a big bar of dark chocolate peppermint bark.
I haven't done much for DD yet, but I'm thinking new socks, a new toothbrush, hair bows/headbands, and some dollar toys/stickers from the dollar bin at Target or the dollar store. Maybe a little candy, but we're still going through her Halloween candy.

Hi ladies!! Inside baby woke me up super early so I thought I'd pop in and say hi and AW up some pics.
We're having a blast even though it poured on us last night. Rain on our vacations has become somewhat of a running joke between DH & I since it ALWAYS happens.
Send us some juju that it stops this AM like it's supposed to.

I'm having take out with a friend tonight and really happy to be inside. I was going to go out to a bar with some other friends and coworkers but my SPD is bothering me.

We kicked them out at 7pm sharp. FIL took the hints. MIL pointedly ignored them and thought she could stay all evening. Haha no.
They'll be back at 10am sharp. Lawd help us all as it's until 7pm again... she also has to stay sober and it's obvious she hates that fact
This kinda sounds like we have the same IL's.
It's snowing pretty good out so I'm sure we'll be hearing about how they should have just stayed with us last night (the hotel is literally a mile away). Nope. Not happening. Also, I'm taking bets on if they show up before 10am because when I say "anytime AFTER 10am," she hears "9am is perfectly fine!" She kept going "so around 10?" with me constantly correcting that it's after 10. They will be standing in the snow until 10am if they show up early

We woke up to some snow and ice mess outside. I'm hoping that it all clears up and stays away before 3, since I have to leave then for a family Christmas party an hour away.
Inside baby is happily kicking away today. And Delaney is happily smashing toys against her cribs rails and bedroom wall when she's supposed to be napping. Whatever kids.

So did they come after 10??
Surprisingly, yes. Not because of the time limit, but because of the snow and MiL didn't want to drive on the already plowed roads
I've spent the past two hours with DH assembling things in the baby's room while they watch DS. I have more to assemble too. They're about to leave for a full 60 minutes so I can put DS down for a nap

That sounds like a great 60 minutes 👍🏻
It's been excellent. I have a strong hunch she found the bar or wine store because it was obvious she is miserable about not being able to have alcohol here
They're gone! Well, at least until 10am tomorrow... they stayed until 7:30 though so they can wait until 10 tomorrow. They'll be leaving by 1 and then no visits for a few months.
MIL also does not like that we're not throwing a party for DS next month when he turns two and was visibly annoyed that I won't say what hospital I'll be delivering at. Oh well, she has no reason to know at the moment or at all

I'm teasing my MIL by refusing to tell her the name of the baby. She doesn't need to know we haven't discussed it yet lol. I haven't even discussed hospitals with her. I dread that day(s).
Baked a cake, made Chex mix, and made some Savory party crackers. That was all by 10am. Went out to dinner for SIL's birthday. Came back and ate the cake. It was so good. Homemade frosting is soooo delicious. Mmm...
Nothing planned tomorrow. Was going to Denver to visit a friend who was flying in from OR/WA, but his plane got cancelled. I'm not terribly upset. We were supposed to meet his girlfriend (he's married, open marriage, possibly soon to be divorced, complicated) who he plans on breaking it off with soon anyway. I was uncomfortable with the whole situation, but with DH being his BF, I have to play nice. I thought being out of HS for 10+ years would have made this drama BS go away. Ugh.
