I got up with C at 4 and he fell back asleep around 5. So I decided to just stay up and start my day. I got ready for work, pumped, made breakfast and lunch and got C's bag ready. So I've had a productive couple hours but now I'm exhausted and really wish I could crawl back into bed! At least I got to enjoy some sweet smiles from him before it's time to head out.
danib ugh I'm sorry you're sick. I hope you and the boys get a chance to rest today.
I'm just sitting here holding a snoozing baby. I say snoozing because if I try to put her down she's goimg to immediately wake.
Last night was the least I've slept since she was born. H is taking DS to gymnastics this morning so assuming this baby decides to actually sleep, maybe I can get a nap in. I had planned to take D out and run a few errands (read: go to Carter's and beg them to take all my money) but sleep is definitely coming first.

I hope you and C feel better soon danib and that it doesn't get any worse than congestion for H.
You've done so much already goldenlove3! Hope work goes well for you today.
dashook I was begging baby gap to take my money this morning! They nicely acquiesced. I didn't buy past 0-3 so I feel like it's 100% justified. Even though half the stuff I bought was 0-3 haha.
waitwhat My DH has been like that. Last night he woke up at like 4:30 (like I'd just gotten back to sleep after a 3am wake up) and he wakes me up to ask if the baby was ok. And I was like, yes, she ate at 3. Every time he wakes up, he just has to wake me up to ask. Dude, walk over to the pnp and see for yourself. Let me sleep!!
sophiegrace and dashook I'm going to Target today to ask them to take our money. It should be fun! I love everything shopping. I'm mildly sad that I'm already buying Lillian 2T stuff, though. She's gotten so big. And I know 2T for a 2 year old isn't news, but still. And putting away the NB size stuff...killing me. I haven't done it yet.
Morning! Just got back from preschool dropoff. After I get cleaned up C and I are going to hit Target for some odds and ends, and I need to order a few last gifts online.
C woke up at 4:20 and I was thinking, hey, that's pretty good!, because I thought I'd last nursed her and put her down around 11. But apparently not...DH was up with her til almost 1. I'm thankful that he's so hands on and wants me to get sleep, but I also feel super guilty bc he has to get up and go to work.

While barricaded in my room so far this morning I've hired a cleaning lady and decided on dying my hair lighter so that I'm forced to leave the house at least every six weeks to get it done. They're running a 50% off massage special right now so I'm going to try and fit H in during one of his earlier work days. Homeboy keeps me fed and brings me oatmeal and coffee in bed every morning, he deserves a bit of stress relief too.
danib, I hope you get better soon! Glad H is officially better!
AFM: L decided from 03:40-05:30 that it was a good time to be awake! I survived my first night alone! My mom took the dogs out at 07:30 which allowed me to sleep till 08:45! I'm hoping for a quiet week at home as I get my bearings doing this alone!

Nursing Lilah, my toast is in the toaster still, and Lillian is watching some incredibly annoying show. I feel really out of it today. Both kids are fed, but only Lilah is dressed. I'm still in my pjs and my hair is a mess.
I'd hoped to go to Target before going to the park, but I'm not going to have time. Maybe if I'd been more together like I was yesterday. So I guess we'll go after, which is fine because I'm not going to last at the park for more than an hour or so. Hopefully Lillian won't fall asleep in the car inbetween. I really want a good nap today so I can deal with insurance phone calls. DH said he'll be home early today so if not, there's that.
We're being discharged from hospital! They said her fever is from a virus and it will run it's course. We are to continue with tylenol and follow up with pedi tomorrow and again until the fever is gone.

ClassyMrsA, sophiegrace I've started the NB pile too. It's so sad. I might cry when I put them away. He wore his last NB diaper a couple days ago and I took a picture of him wearing it. Yup...

Thanks for all the support!
Best news!!! So happy to read this! Thank you for the update. FX it's gone as soon as possible. How's the big feeling?

ClassyMrsA my NB stuff is sitting in a sad pile in her nursery. I can't even think of putting it away right now. It all looks so tiny!
+1 to a sad NB pile in the nursery. Actually it's 2 piles; one boy and one girl. I'm just waiting til all the current laundry goes through so I can put the boxes back in the basement. That was really fast.
I consoled myself with some pretty new outfits for her from Carter's. Nothing crazy though because I can't see her being in 3 months for very long.
hangry, so glad to hear that update!! starbuck27, I can't get over how you manage to do it with the toddler and nursing those two little ones almost constantly. You are truly amazing.
So...I noticed Lilah's belly button is bleeding a little again. It's not even like red red blood, just kind of brownish red/scabby stuff. Anyone else seen this? I'm considering watching it for another day or so and calling the dr if it continues.

So I finally have time to watch the new Gilmore Girls episodes, I got onto Netflix and hit "watch" and the first episode started. About 3/4 of the way through it I accidently hit the remote and it went back to the main episode page and I realized I was watching episode 4, the last episode, and not episode 1. I fail at TV.
Another napless day for me. I tried to lay down when DS was napping but D immediately woke up and started screaming. Obviously he is incapable of calming her and there was no way I could sleep through that so up I went. I'm so incredibly tired right now. I'm falling asleep watching Wheel of Fortune.

M slept through the entire salon visit!!! My hair looks and feels so much better, I'm so glad I went.
MIL and the spawns of Satan are leaving at lunchtime. FX M tolerates the Tula tomorrow afternoon because so much cleaning has to be done to get back to baseline.
starbuck27 I think this is the perfect time of year for many movie days!
vinolove I think ours will be staying up for awhile too, we have a 9 and 15 footer up and the thought of how much work it's going to take to get them down makes me cringe. I hate the post Christmas clean up.
How's lilah's belly button ClassyMrsA? How long has it been since the cord fell off? For awhile, right?

sophiegrace The cord fell off around 1.5 weeks, so about 3 weeks ago. It had a little bleeding after for a few days. At her 2 week check, Dr said it was healing well and we could start baths. Yesterday I noticed a little dried blood and then today it's a little sticky, like half dried, and kind of brownish red. Very small amount, nothing bright red or any other signs of active bleeding. It doesn't seem to bother her for me to touch it, isn't swollen, isn't red or warm.

I'm wondering if some crying and straining irritated it a bit and knocked some drainage out. From my wound care experience it sounds like there's nothing to worry about unless it starts actively bleeding or the drainage turns green, yellow, or white and/or gets warm to the touch and red.
You probably didn't need any of that info. Just pretending that my entire brain didn't disappear during L&D.
Send wine...the witching hour is especially bad tonight. LO would not settle down and was screaming his head off. My mom was finally able to get him down. I hate feeling like I can't settle my own child.
I took a picture, edited it, drafted up a holiday/birth announcement card, and then actually ordered it all within a day!!! This is record slashing for me! Normally it is a multi-week project from hell. Turns out if you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute!
