@kc295905, lol! Every time I ask DS if he's ready to meet his sister, he tells me no. But he also lifts up my shirt and yells "get out sister!" So he's all over the place apparently.

Officially trying to look extra pitiful in some insane hope that our boss decides to give me some freebie days and send me home. It's honestly harder emotionally than anything right now. Hormones, man.

Winnifred, very very jealous of you actual induction date and I am def there with maybe my water will just break...maybe tonight I will get that contraction I need to get things moving!
@cahistoryteacher, I am glad to hear that she is coming down and getting ready to maybe come out and meet her parents. I unfortunately am feeling him low and in my pelvis but he just refuses. I pray that he just really likes the though of santa and will make an appearance. I think if he doesn't come by Christmas this will be a jan baby. Did you Dr. talk at all when they would actually intervene?
WineNChocolate, We didn't talk about it at the 38 appointment, there was no need to. We'll probably talk about it at the 40 week if she's still not here next week. I know the practice's policy is not let you go past 42 weeks. I'm in no rush though.

At our two week appointment. Baby girl looked out the window of the truck the whole way here. Our Dr doesn't normally get babies so the office goes nuts when we come in. Except they keep calling Jane to remind her of her appointment. And they are concerned that she's not in my insurance yet. She's 11 days old, give it some time. They then tried to tell me I have to call my insurance company. Um I work for a company that handles all that.... Just let it be.

My doctor was weird about that too! Like shit, I just had some babies. Can I please have my 30 days to have them added to insurance?!
My doctors office has been surprisingly chill about Cora's insurance info. They asked once and were all "You probably don't have it yet, just get it to us when you do."
I feel like I'm in there weekly though for one of us since we all see the same doc. Here lately it's been multiple times a week. I'm in there often enough that the greet us all by name when we walk in. My OB even has hours there every other Friday, so I was often at the office seeing him there too when I could because it's a lot closer than my OB's main office.

My company is being dumb too. We right the programs so all an employee has to do is go in to their benefits and add the dependent online, but of course the system didn't work for me so i had to fill out the paperwork for 2016 and 2017 and send it in. I'm like New Mom here!! Fix your stuff!!! Then I held Jane and didn't care about anything else.
Went in for a "courtesy check." Dilated to a 3 with a very thin cervix, but I didn't look "uncomfortable enough" to be in labor. She didn't want me just sitting at the hospital. She swept my membranes and told me to go have lunch and walk around.

Eek! I was just gonna ask how you're doing. Are you still having timeable contractions?!
I stopped timing at the doctor but I should probably start again. I can't tell if I'm cramping from the membrane sweep or contracting now. :/
I'm getting so frustrated with how our state disability is set up. They don't let you apply until 9 days after you stop working, then you have to wait until it's processed, which can take up to 10 days after your doctor submits their certification. So I got the paperwork that shows my benefit amount, but the amount is way less that 55% of my current pay because they're using a "base period" starting in July of last year when I was unemployed. So they paperwork says to call within 20 days if you were unemployed during the base period. I call, and the automated message says there's already too many people waiting to speak to someone, and it just hangs up. Wtf. Luckily we have savings I can use as backup until this gets resolved, but why does it need to be so complicated?
I FINALLY have a sub for January lined up. My district/the state has these ridiculous rules for long-term subs and this guy we had initially snagged dropped out a month ago. We finally confirmed someone today to take the first 30 days of the second semester(subs can only work in 30 day increments in one classroom). It's so nice to know that my kids won't be going through multiple subs in the first few days they are back from break. I need to get the school secretary some flowers or something, she has worked so hard to line up all my subs.

Appointment update...no dilation..cervix soft head still down. She said I can feel his head. Now they got me hooked up to this damn thing! To check for contractions and to see if he is in the clear. Not sure the point of it...but I guess its more than I expected. My Dr has tried to be cheery..and well I am like a Debbie downer...he is never coming out.

Lol...I was thinking umm he was asleep...would you like someone to come and shock the ish out of you..to wake up. But anyway..still sitting here. I am assuming my dr will give an explanation at the end..been on this thing 30 mins. But the chair is comfy I might fall asleep.
Yesterday I had an ultrasound and a cervical check. The US tech had to push a little, but nothing too uncomfortable. The cervical check didn't hurt at all, just a little uncomfortable.
I've had brown discharge for 24 hours now (TMI: each time I wipe there is brown, and has been each time I change my liner when I go to the bathroom). I'm having period like cramps (all day). Is all this standard for cervical checks? It didn't happen with my 36 and 37 appt checks.
ETA: no pink or red
I definitely had pinkish brown spotting and cramping after my cervical check last week, but about 8 hours later it turned to nearly gushing red blood, which is what sent us to the hospital (still working on that birth story!)
There is a road crew working outside my window, and I looked out just in time to see some gross guy bend over and show about 4 inches of butt crack. FML.

I've been on the hunt for a Hatchimal (or two) for the big girls since Black Friday. Today, a girl in my July 11 group offered the one she'd previously bought for her LO. I almost cried, it is so sweet of her and I was so frustrated and feeling crappy about not being able to find one.
crimpgirl Fingers crossed! I'm having regular contractions and early labor, but wasn't quite to a 4. They said I could go home for a bit, but that they expect to see me later tonight, and if not, within 24 hours.
