I'm trying to get back into healthy living, again. I know great timing, right before Christmas. But I'm feeling old lately, I know it probably has to do with my birthday last week & now being closer to 40, than 30. Why is it that you feel your age the morning of your birthday? Well, whatever. I need to get back to feeling energized-ish like I did in August. I've fallen way off where I want to be. My first step is actually doing the exercise program I'm paying for. No more saying I'm too tired. So this week's goal is to do that. FX!

Good luck stinybean! H just asked me yesterday if I wanted to do Whole30 again after the new year.
My work holiday lunch is today. We had to bring in a $10 gift so I just did a b&bw holiday candle and holiday hand soap. Inpulled it from my stash of extra presents so it was a win in my book!

Those candles are the best! I have one that smells just like a Christmas tree right now. I love how cozy my house smells with it.
I need to do something about my weight, too. I have a goal to lose 32 lbs this year, but when I haven't exercised since Friday....yeah. I do okay on food, minus all of the cookies I've been making/sampling.
I was in a deep sleep when my alarm went off and I'm still groggy.

DD and I need to run to Target this morning to do some returns and grab a few things. I have a hair appointment this afternoon I cannot wait for. Bye, roots!

I've also been emotional eating the last two weeks so I need to get back to exercising and get back on track. I lost close to 10 lbs this fall and I always sabotage myself as soon as I've made a little progress.
I got invited to the holiday happy hour by my former coworkers today, so I plan to take an hour of personal time to meet them at 3:30, because that's preschool happy hour time. I need to make sure I don't drink too much and tell my former supervisor that I love her, again. #goals.
+1 on the not doing great on my weight. I had actually lost about 5 pounds a month or so ago just being more strict with my diet, but Thanksgiving happened, and now it's holiday madness. I also really need to figure out a time to work out - when the hell do working moms do this? I already am waking up before 6 a.m., with no extra time in the morning, then when we get home it's dinner, dishes, bedtime, and by the time I'm downstairs and have time to myself it's already 8 and the last thing I want to do is work out. I've been thinking about asking for a Fitbit to replace the one I lost in the move for my birthday in January to motivate me once we're in the new year. If we're doing a FET in the spring, I really would like to get back to my pre-IVF weight, which is about 10 lbs from where I am now.

This is always my problem. Before BH was born in did 30-45 minutes after dinner while DH put LBB to bed. But now that's the time I'm putting BH to bed. I used to take some time at work, but my new job doesn't allow for that.
DH and I recently rearranged our schedule so he does drop off in the mornings, which means I can get to work an hour earlier. So I've been leaving work a little early and going for a run before I pick the boys up.
I've juuuust started back on the exercise wagon. I've been trying to get to Zumba once a week. The nights I have Zumba, I get home, make dinner, eat quickly by myself and bolt when H gets home. He puts O down for the night and is usually working out when I get home. I'm hoping to add either one more night of Zumba/week next year or try something a la crossfit.
So I went to Zumba last night because I'm going to a cookie exchange tonight. I made the 8 dozen cookies Sunday night so they are ready and packaged already. This means I will come home with approximately 8 dozen cookies. One hour of Zumba totally equals 8 dozen cookies, right? I'll bring some into work to pawn off on my friends.
carrots, we have a huge Elmo fan, also. He has a small (maybe 8"?) super soft Elmo stuffed animal we found that sleeps in his crib with him. I also noticed day care had a car yesterday that had Elmo's face on it (sounds creepy, but was cool) that he gravitated towards at drop-off. A quick search on Amazon brought up a couple good options for "Elmo car." He also has a sippy with Elmo on it that he ALWAYS pulls out when he's asking for water.
Oh a random question - any ideas for a small Elmo gift for W? He goes bonkers anytime he sees Elmo and so I think he would get excited to have any sort of toy with Elmo on it.
The small elmo plush! I also found a small elmo figurine that she loves (I think it was $1 at Walmart).
I've been exercising in the afternoons when I get home. I'm usually home by 4:30, which I know is probably earlier than most others. I usually prep dinner and put it in the oven, and I've been doing the bikini body mommy workouts on YouTube, which are about 20 minutes total, so it's the perfect amount of time. It's also been a good release of stress at the end of the workday, and I'm way more likely to do it at that point then trying to wait until later in the evening.
V hated that I was doing it at first, but now he thinks it's fun to climb on my back while I'm down on the mat.
I really like Bikini Body Mommy, too. I've only done about 10 or so of her workouts though. She's coming out with a new workout mid January, which will probably include some new exercises.

Looks like my car burned all the oil that was in it. It's 9 degrees outside, but we're probably going to have to bundle up and walk the 1/2-3/4 mile each way to get some. Because of course we have no oil here. Everything else, just not oil.

Well, I am currently sitting in bed, pantsless, eating a donut for breakfast, so I'm in a pretty good spot with the whole "Healthy Living" thing. #humblebrag. Or, I'm 35 weeks pregnant and haven't even thought about working out for the last 3 months. I'll get back on the healthy train once baby is here. I'll probably re-join Weight Watchers at the 6 week point. I did last time, and I was able to lose a little over 60 pounds in the 11 months between C being born and me getting pregnant with this baby.

Also, I am staying home from work today to clean while DH is at work and C is at the nannys, but, let's be real. As soon as DH leaves the house, I plan on laying down for a nap. And I have to run to Target at some point. And wrap presents. So we'll see how much "cleaning" gets done. I need to find a new cleaning lady. Ours was amazing but moved away.
Hi there everyone! Both my kids slept through the night and waited until my alarm to get up this morning, so I'm feeling pretty rested for once. Last night I took LO on a late night walk and we got lucky in that the snow plow came down our street while we were out! With the flashing lights and loud noises, LO was mesmerized. He mostly just watched in awe but after it left he said "truck. ooooh."

I contacted a therapist that was supposed to accept my insurance, only to find out that they don't accept it. $150 out of pocket cost. Why must you lie, psychology today website?

I had this problem when trying to find a dentist for LBB.
Well work is...fun. I knew I was in for it today when the attorney heading up my team texted me all the drama that was going on in my absence yesterday. Long story short, we've got 6 multi-billion lawsuits and each lawsuit has a team of attorneys working on it.
My team is way more experienced than another team, so they paired us up and the other team is resentful. I'm the go-between between the two groups, and since I wasn't here there was a ridiculous amount of nonsense. This morning I spoke to the B team, who still doesn't seem to have a clue what they're doing.

DD has a little board book called "Peekaboo Elmo" and it has been her favourite for months.
When it was DS's turn to leave he classroom today (the teacher makes them stand in a line and wait their turn and she says good bye to each kid and makes sure their parent is there then), DD squealed and ran towards him and he started laughing and ran out and hugged her at the door.
