After talking about sculpted eyebrows yesterday, it made me want to know how others do their brows. I took a pic of one done and one left alone. I am not very skilled in this area and have very little eyebrows to work with as it is since I tweezed some about 20 years ago and they never grew back at all.
Tell me what you guys do and how and I want to see pics of your brows as well.
Had to search for a pic of my eyebrows because I am way too tired looking to take one right now 😂
I used to get mine waxed pretty thin and over-plucked in the middle because I was very insecure about having a unibrow in middle & high school. I would obsessively pluck them every day. It took me a few years for them to grow back in all the way, but luckily they did! I get them waxed professionally for special occasions now, but keep up with them myself mostly. I will use those home wax strips to clean them up and just pluck the strays every once in a while. I just go with the natural shape and leave them pretty thick since apparently that's in now.
I fill in a couple spots if I am going out or something, but other than that I try not to worry about it. They are just eyebrows.
If they are so thin that they are disappearing I would probably fill them in a little, the side where you can see the full eyebrow is definitely more flattering. I don't think the thick defined eyebrow look is for everyone. I will try to find a pic of my little sisters drawn on dramatic eyebrows for proof haha
I don't do much to mine. I fill them with brow shadow and angled brush and that's it. I stopped plucking completely a few months ago and decided to go with the unkempt look*
*I made that look up. I'm just lazy and don't care anymore
My sister has taken all evidence of her eyebrow faux pas off social media 😂 But she is a natural blonde with light brows and lashes and was filling them in dark brown/almost black. It was looking a little crazy for a while.
Here are mine. I get them waxed every two months, more to clean them up than thin them out. I keep their shape but get a ton of stray hairs all around so I need to wax because I can't keep up with tweezing.
Not taking a picture but I just tweeze stray hairs and get waxed if I have a special event. Also, I put in brow mascara when I want to look nice but not every day. I would like a better shape but don't care enough to do anything about it.
Before my wedding I went to a new place to get waxed and asked her to shape them and she essentially made fun of their current shape and said she couldn't do anything for me. She suggested growing them out as much as possible. I tried but I over plucked in the center and they won't grow back there except some sparse hairs.

These are my brows needing a wax and no makeup on:
These are with makeup. I use eyeshadow to fill them in a little (they're not thin, but I have a lot of greys in my brows for whatever reason):
I will add that I get them professionally waxed every four weeks. If there's one thing I seem to always screw up, it's my brows when I attempt to pluck myself.
i'm putting this here again because I'm still loling at this girls brows. Oh and she posted it as a 'no eyeliner selfie'!! And no one called her out on it, they were all 'oh you looks o good...'
I sorta thought those sort of eyebrows didn't exist in real life microworm !
Here's mine. Completely au natural (I have always been miserable with tweezers so no plucking myself - I used to get them shaped and waxed, but I am barely able to keep up on haircuts so eyebrows went out the window approx 4 years ago).
ETA: also looking TIRED af and in need of a facial!
These are mine. I've never plucked or waxed them. I used to use some eye shadow or eye crayon to fill them in a little but I'm lazy now. I often wonder if I should be doing something different or just continue to leave them since they're so blonde anyways. Also don't mind the lingering pink eye.
Well know I feel better that everyone has nice, normal looking eyebrows and they are nicely shaped too.
I don't always have time to use my eyebrow kit but it does make a difference in completing my makeup look. Otherwise, they are nearly invisible even though I think the arch is nice. I just wish they would grow back again. I might try that rapid brow stuff to help.
I fall in and out of love with my brows. I've had every shape possible.
For years I had thin shaped ones that looking back were completely over plucked and made me look startled.
After seeing myself in pictures I decided to grow them - kind of when natural, strong brows became a thing.
The growing out process was really hard - you have to be prepared for going out in public looking like an ugly troll.
But once they are full slugs, you can either get them waxed or try plucking yourself - I would get the initially waxed into shape by a pro and then just maintain them at home with tweezers.
I still have bare parts to my brows that I fill in with either brow mascara or pencil.
I do love brow mascara it so easy, foolproof and makes a huge difference to the thin parts of eyebrows.
I have a L'Oréal brow plumper and it's one of my favourite products.
