JoBub my H bought regular wall insulation and staple gunned it to the back of the garage door. Also- close your damn door as soon as you turn off your car.

I am seeing kits online that seem easy enough. But one website said that on a double door, insulation may add enough weight to mess things up so then you have to have a professional adjust the tension or something. So I don't know. I'll run it by H.

Yeah you don't want to mess with the springs. We actually had a wire snap on our garage door not that long ago and got the wire replaced and they had to add a spring since they only had one and should have had two on there. But it's dangerous if a wire snaps when you're around. Ours was just old.
