becole , was Mall Madness fun? That was another one I wanted.
Me too! I wanted it so much but my mum wouldn't get it for me :-(
I really want to get DS a little doll house. He loves houses and played with one so much when we stayed at a cottage back in August. MH shut it down and I'm really side eyeing him for it.

becole - I had one of the Magic Nursery dolls too. I keep thinking I had the Quints, but not sure. And I had that Mickey! I asked my mom for it recently because I had saved him and a giant Pluto (only toys I saved), and she had given them away ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜.
My favorites were the Fisher Price little people, I miss that they aren't pegs with heads anymore. I had a school house. So many Magna Doodles because I played with them so much. Cabbage Patch doll, I remember the mayhem that occurred when they came out.
Re cabbage patch dolls, the year they came out, my grandmother insisted on getting one for me and my cousin even though they were sold out everywhere. My mom told her not to worry about it but she had to so she got them off some truck in the Bronx at 6am.

I gave DD my cabbage patch dolls that I kept, she loves them and they still smell good. It's magic. For her birthday my cousin was going to buy her one and she was shocked by how expensive they still are.

My Mom did something similar. It was the only toy she ever fought over and it was for my brother. I don't think I was even born yet when they first came out.
I remember my space hopper - I had the very retro orange one and it seemed huge to me. I must've been 4-5 at the time and feeling quite intimidated by its size. I loved it though.
So did some other little shit as it was stolen during the night out of our back garden.
I remember for ages afterwards being worried about a toy burglar snooping about.

@whimsy is the Fisher Price little people house you showed still made or did you get your J a pre-owned/ vintage one? I don't remember exactly what the house I had looked like but I think similar. It was great and I wanted to get dd one like it but the only one I saw on Amazon was awful - I think it makes noises and stuff - so I'm hoping maybe my old one is among the old toys stored at my dad's that we haven't gone through yet. For now I got dd the peppa pig playhouse instead.
emmagk if there is an old-style, simple Fisher Price little people house to be found (not for this Xmas obviously but b-day or random), would your h still be against that? It's not very doll-housy but allows for similar creative play.

Cabbage patch kids never appealed to me. I always thought they were fugly (not cute ugly). I was around first or second grade when they came out, I think - they were such a huge craze and my friends all got or wanted them.
