Back when I was living in AL we once flew up to NYC in between Xmas and NY to see NYC in Christmas deco and all. I enjoyed it! (was my first visit to NYC, too).

Did Chicago once for these things. That was crazy enough for me. No interest in doing it in NY. I'll go any other time of year though!
